Our 26-27 school year is off to a great start. It was great to see so many at our family picnic and supporting our 5th graders at the car wash. Our Muffins w/ Mom and Dad drew in a record crowd. Check out the pictures below. Just a reminder that conferences will be held on October 8th, 9th and 12th. (Dates and times are listed below) Our expectation is that we have a chance to conference with 100% of our families. Please sign up for your time by Friday, October 2nd to connect with our staff. We are so grateful to partner with such an engaged parent community.

Fire and Lock Down Drills
Carlos Elementary students and staff completed our first safety fire drill on September 10th and our first lock down drill on September 16th. As part of our school safety procedures, we are required to conduct five safety lock down drills, five evacuation drills, and one tornado drill each year. Each of these drills plays a key role in out emergency preparedness efforts. During all safety drills, staff focus on ensuring the safety and well-being of students. Students also play a pivotal role as they listen attentively and responsibly to adults. We are proud and grateful for how well Carlos students responded to the drills. Families will continue to receive update throughout the school year as we complete out remaining safety lock down drill, recognizing these experiences can bring emotional response for children. Thank you for you continued partnership in helping us maintain a safe school environment.
