A group of 30 fifth and sixth-grade students visited the Challenger Learning Center in Allegany, NY, where they explored Halley’s Comet and took part in a hands-on rocket design challenge. During the experience, students simulated a space shuttle mission, alternating roles between Mission Control and a space shuttle simulator. Pumpkin Character Report: Celebrating Our Favorite Stories!
This month, our Fourth Graders have been buzzing with creativity as they have been working on reading stories and writing character book reports! Each student chose a book of their choice and wrote a report which included information on the main character in their story, an important setting, and a detailed summary of the plot. At home, the students transformed pumpkins into vibrant characters, by painting them and using various materials to bring their visions to life. They all did a spook-tacular job! The pumpkins have been displayed all week for everyone to enjoy!
