Dewey Student Government
Mx. Megan and Mrs. Val wanted to take a moment to recognize our 25-26 appointed Student Government. All our kids worked very hard on their campaigning, and we are very proud of each and every one of them. They have already been hard at work with their Support Committee on planning events and spreading school spirit.
Our 4th Grade Class Representatives are Claire Fegan and Maison Langford; 5th Grade Class Representatives are Emily Vakulich and Amelia Figueroa; 6th Grade Class Representatives are Georgia Sault and Curran Shook; Spirit Coordinators are Sofia Nava, Everly Hoffman, and Liam Bowen; School Mascots are Ellie Baggs, Wesley Krida and Rylan Deguzman; Media Chiefs are Elijah Houting, Cassius Burnett, Nolan Greenhaw and Hazel Williams; Secretary is Kaitlyn Helmer; Vice President is Bradi Sullivan; and our President is Jackson Clark.
Congratulations to everyone! We love seeing our students’ commitment to helping improve our daily activities on campus and being creative in making things happen. We are really excited to see what all our government students will contribute to our Dewey Community!

Next Monday, October 13, is Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day. Although this is a holiday for some workplaces and agencies, in San Juan Unified it is not an attendance holiday. Dewey and all other San Juan campuses will have regular school hours on the 13th.

The Annual Student Information Update asks families to update emergency contact information, complete the school funding form, get the 2025-26 family handbook and review demographic information to help schools prepare for the new school year.

RaiseRight Update
Mr. Hann’s class is cashing in with $29 earned in September, from families using RaiseRight, and Mrs. Ruswinkle’s class is leading the pack with $47 earned just from her own purchases. Everyday shopping really does make a difference!

If you haven’t signed up yet, it’s not too late. You can start earning for teachers and saving for school expenses at any time. Plus, if you place an order during the month, you’ll automatically be entered into the monthly $10 gift card drawing.
We also still have physical Chipotle gift cards available for purchase. These can be used at the upcoming Family Night Out and are available even if you haven’t signed up for RaiseRight.
