PHS College & Career Corner

It's study time as midterms are approaching! Preparation is the key to success. As we shovel out from the snow, peruse this week's newsletter for summer programs and job opportunities for the warm days ahead

With the start of the new year, many colleges are sharing their pre-college summer programs offered through their university. These summer programs are found all across the country and can vary by cost, application process, type of program, competitiveness/prestige, and who actually runs the programs (some are held at universities but not actually affiliated with them). You are encouraged to be an informed consumer when exploring these programs. Reflect on what value the program offers - will I get to engage in research opportunities, will this allow me to explore a future career field with intellectually curious peers - as you search to find what is the correct fit for you.

MIT's website offers a nice overview of what to consider when looking for summer programs as well as links to reputable, selective programs, many of which are free or low cost for students to attend: MIT summer programs
