Campus Climate Survey
Each year Humble ISD issues campus climate surveys to staff, parents, and students.
Families play a critical role in the success of their childโs school. One way that parents can assist in a very meaningful way is by providing feedback to us through our Parent Survey. The survey takes just a few minutes, but makes a big difference! Humble ISD is conducting this survey for every school in the district.
A unique link was sent to all Humble ISD parents. Parents with more than one child in our district will have the opportunity to complete a survey for each student. The survey is open now through May 12, 2025, and your responses are confidential.
May is.....
Each May, National Speech-Language-Hearing Month provides an opportunity to raise awareness about communication disorders/impairments and the role of speech-language pathologists (better known as speech therapists) in providing life-altering assessment and intervention. Within this school based setting and beyond, you are encouraged to be patient with your communication partners who may not sound like you or process/think as quickly as you do. Please remember that communication is one of our most precious gifts; use it to the best of your ability and see how high you soar!

Nurse News
All medication must be picked up by a parent/guardian prior to the end of school on May 29th, 2025 by 1pm or it will be discarded per district policy. Medication can NOT be sent home with students.
All returns must be signed off by the RN and person picking up. Health & Medication forms must be completed YEARLY. Forms for next year must be completed/signed by the provider after June 1st. The forms needed are located on the health services webpage!
Parents of 6th graders: 2 vaccines are required for entrance to 7th grade in Texas, Meningitis (MCV) and Tetanus (Tdap). You can get a head start on this now so it does not inhibit your child from starting next year on time. Ask your pediatrician to administer these vaccines at your child's next visit, then bring an updated shot record to the nurse so your child will be cleared for 7th grade. All students must have these vaccines updated by the first day of their 7th grade year! Send a copy of your child's immunization to the nurse asap!

Let's Follow the GATOR Way!
ARMS is a "NO CELL PHONE" Campus
At ARMS, the expectation is that phones are to be off and away during the school day. Please encourage your child to follow this expectation.
Additionally, please do not text or call your child during the school day, forcing them to choose between responding to you and/or following the campus expectations. Students may request to speak with a parent by going to the office. These practices are also published on our website under "Menu"
Parents Please Monitor Student Group Chats
Part of the reason ARMS does not permit cell phone usage during our instructional day is to ensure students are focused on what is of utmost importance, their safety and academics. Our goal is to remove distractions that are preventing them from focusing on learning.
We are asking our parents to closely monitor group chats/messaging and social media because these platforms can sometimes lead to misunderstandings for children their age, expose them to harmful material/content, and lead to conflicts and inappropriate behaviors. These ultimately cause a great disruption and disturbance to your child's learning and our environment.
By keeping a close eye on your child's cell phone activity/online interactions, you are helping to prevent harmful issues and you are in support of a safer, more positive environment both in and out of school. If concerning behavior occurs after school hours, it is important to bring it to the attention of local authorities and our administration to ensure the safety and well-being of all involved.
Your vigilance is key in helping us foster a healthy social atmosphere for all students, even when at home. We appreciate your partnership in providing a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
