Administrator's Message 🐾 Administrator's Message 🐾

Dear Wildcat Families,

There are only two weeks left of school, for a total of 8 school days! The energy is high, and we need your support to ensure students finish the year on a good note. As the semester wraps up, it's important that students are talking to their teachers directly about final projects, missing assignments and deadlines for late work.

Please see below for important updates on upcoming events.

There is no school on Monday, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day. Have a great, long weekend!

Celebrating Our Community's Diversity Celebrating Our Community's Diversity

The cities of Fairfield and Suisun City are two of the most diverse communities in California. To honor that diversity, each week FSUSD will be sharing information about the cultures that make up our extra special learning community.

  • Memorial Day is May 26th and honors America’s military men and women who lost their lives in the service to their country. To Americans, Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial beginning of summer. Many people attend parades, go to the beach or have cook-outs with friends and family. But at its heart, Memorial Day is a day when Americans reflect on the sacrifice of those who have given their lives in military service.

Action! 🎬

There is great teaching and learning happening! Ms. Z's classes had the choice to either act out a scene from A Midsummer Night's Dream or create a one-pager. The students were practicing their scenes, fully engaged!

Block Party

Our ASB students, led by Ms. Lunch, put on an end of year block party. Students and families got to enjoy games and food.

Summer School

This summer, BGW will not be hosting a summer program due to ongoing construction. However, students who qualify for the Expanded Learning Opportunity Program will be contacted about summer programming hosted by KI Jones Elementary.

The registration links are now live on our district website: www.fsusd.org/elop. Families can now locate their child's school and register for both the 2025–26 School Year (SY) and the 2025 Summer Camp.

Important deadlines:

  • Summer Camp registration closes on June 1st
  • 2025–26 SY registration closes on July 31st, or once site capacity is reached—whichever comes first. Families will be notified if program has reached max capacity.

If families have any questions or concerns, please have them contact: fsusd-elop@fsusd.org
