Hello Families,

I’m hoping to see many families at this week’s Science Fair! We are excited to share that we have a record number of students participating this year—75 students in total. Their hard work, curiosity, and creativity have truly been inspiring, and the event promises to be a wonderful celebration of student learning. We hope you’ll join us to support our young scientists and explore the impressive projects they have prepared.

CORI and DCF Background Checks for End-of-Year Activities

As we begin planning for our upcoming end-of-year events and activities, we want to remind families that any parent or guardian who plans to volunteer must have an up-to-date CORI and DCF background check on file with the school.

If you are interested in volunteering, please make sure your paperwork is completed ahead of time.

  • If you already have a CORI on file, please check that it is still current.

  • If this is your first time completing a CORI, please come to Morris School with a valid ID so we can process your form.

If you need to complete or renew your CORI/DCF background check, please contact:

  • Amy Freeman – afreeman@lenoxps.org

  • Ana Carpenter – acarpenter@lenoxps.org

Thank you for helping us keep our school community safe while supporting our end-of-year events!

Annual Puddle Jumper 5K

On Sunday, April 12, the Class of 2028 will be hosting our 2nd Annual Puddle Jumper 5K — a fun, community-focused race designed to promote health, wellness, and local engagement! This event is not only an opportunity to bring people together but also to raise funds to support our class as we navigate high school. We aim to create an enjoyable experience for everyone involved while making meaningful connections within our community.

Sign-ups can be done by clicking HERE! The race is FREE for ALL students, and adult registration costs $30. The first 80 registrants will receive a free t-shirt!

Thank you for your continued support.

Morris PTO Birthday Lunches

The Morris PTO celebrates Morris elementary student birthdays with a special, monthly birthday lunch. At their lunch period, students with birthdays that month get a small ice cream or popsicle treat, a birthday sticker, and a little birthday prize. Here is the schedule for the PTO Birthday Lunches this school year:

April: Friday, April 10th

May: Friday, May 1st

June: Monday, June 1st

July: Friday, June 5th

Parents and caregivers with active CORIs on file can participate in the PTO birthday lunches by helping to hand out treats and prizes. If you’d like to volunteer to help at one or more of the PTO birthday lunches, please email Haley Holmes (haleykayeholmes@hotmail.com).
