Monthly Motivation
How to get your motivation back:
The end of the quarter is almost here! It can feel overwhelming to get through the end of the semester slump when we are tired and the weather is colder.
- Focus on one thing at a time
- Make an action plan to finish assignments
- Take breaks and rest
- Clean your room
- Find something that you're excited about to add some fun and joy to the day
- Ask for help when you need help
You can do it!!
How to support the P.R.I.D.E. Awards for students:
Teachers award students with tickets to enter the Dragon Drawing each week for showing P.R.I.D.E. qualities and characteristics in class, hallways, and cafeteria. This includes showing kindness and going above and beyond as well as Persistence, Respectfulness, Initiative, Dependability, and Efficiency. The more tickets students earn and enter into the Dragon, the greater their chances are throughout the year. We love recognizing and rewarding students for these positive actions they show every day!
We are still awarding approximately 30 students (30 prizes) each week all school year and our prize supply is dwindling again. Please consider a donation either directly to SCMS for the prizes, or through our Amazon Wish List: https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/3FO2R1PGZ09UE?ref_=cm_sw_r_em_ud_ggr-subnav-share_8QR2C6XFVW70JCYXK5GS
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated.
The students are SO excited each week to win a prize.
ZAP Program
Zeros Aren't Possible
If your student has five or more missing assignments, they may be pulled for a working lunch with one of the counselors to complete any assignments marked as missing.
With the end of the quarter quickly approaching it's so important to stay on top of assignments and submit the missing ones as soon as possible.
Staying up-to-date with assignments:
Be sure to check for assignments, study guides, resources, etc. in Schoology. Also, these Infinite Campus apps for students and parents are really helpful for notifications with grades, missing assignments, and more.
