Do you constantly wonder...

"Asking questions is the first way to begin change."

~Kubra Sait

This week I have further understood why asking questions is prudent in creating change: changing how we feel, changing our perspective, changing our knowledge on a certain subject, changing our intellect, changing our understanding, etc. Instead of second-guessing our own thoughts, instead of pondering within our own mind the reason for someone else's actions, and instead of just pure doubt, fear, insecurities, ASK! Ask the questions you need to put your mind at ease. Ask the questions to give you truth and understanding. There's nothing wrong with asking a question. If someone takes offense to it...that's on them!

Still 18 graduates are left for FAFSA. This needs to be submitted for graduating students as soon as possible or you can fill out an opt out form which are in the office. There are Cash 4 College nights held virtually and in person all over the county if you need assistance. This is the only way you will get any type of financial aid in college and this is the only way you will get to go to the JC for free. Please fill it out as soon as possible, so you can find out how much money you will earn and if you get the Cal Grant or other scholarships.

Juniors Spring Meets finish up next week. I will complete the Sophomore Spring Meets in their World History classes next Thursday. Then I will have the Career Exploration Program with the juniors that took the ASVAB on the 22nd.

There is a Google Classroom with resources and announcements...ask your students if they have joined yet.

My newsletters are to inform parents mostly, but there will also be information for students. Some information carries over each week, but always look for the new stuff.

I am very easy to get ahold of and respond pretty quickly. If you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, clarification, or concerns.

See below for friendly reminders: Important Dates, Mental Health Tips/Resources, SRJC information, Scholarship opportunities, and volunteer opportunities.

THS Robotics Fundraiser THS Robotics Fundraiser

From the THS Robotics President...

Thank you to everyone who cheered us on at SBB over the weekend! The club put on a great performance and won in multiple categories! There were some extraordinary plants. Nothing stood a chance against Angular Aggression. Rev 3 did so much damage they had to retire the arena, a chunk of it was awarded as a trophy!

Let's rally behind our champions and send them to the Nationals!! Join us in promoting our upcoming fundraiser on Saturday, April 11th. We have a fun evening planned. We need your help getting the word out so we can keep the program funded.

Here are the highlights of what’s included with a ticket:

* Wine tasting hosted by Vōkel Cellars

* Grazing table / charcuterie

* Paella dinner (meat & vegetarian)

* Live music

* Silent / Live Auction

• Studio rental in Paris, France

• Timeshare week in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

• Private tour of Bodega Marine Lab

• Family membership to Robert Ferguson Observatory

• And many more!

We know parents support us year-round so think of other people you can invite to attend: extended family, neighbors, coworkers, or anyone else you think would enjoy supporting our program.

Maybe there’s grandparents who want to support but can’t attend? Ask if they would like to donate tickets for you to hand out to someone who will enjoy the festivities and participate in the silent auction, there’s a “Donation” ticket option just for this!

Attached is the link to purchase tickets via Eventbrite. Please share so we can sell this fundraiser out!
