This week is our annual family STEAM night! Our Education Foundation's STAR Mission Fundraiser culminates in STEAM night on Thursday, March 21st. Also, this week we have a PTSA meeting and Principal's Coffee meeting on Wednesday, March 20.

Academic Updates:
Report cards for students have been posted and are available for parent review. Please log on to your Aeries account to access the digital report card. Please follow these steps:
On your dashboard go to the tab “Grades”
Then click on the “Report Card History”
All your child’s report cards will be listed here. The most current will be on the top.
Click on the report card you want to view. It will be in blue with the language you selected in your settings.
Grades for students should be updated by teachers each week so that you can set up notifications for weekly updates on your child. Here is a link to step-by-step instructions on how to view your child’s current grades, missing assignments, and attendance, and set notifications for a weekly grade check.
McPherson STEAM Night

Come join us for the annual McPherson STEAM Night on Thursday, March 21, 2024. This FUN family event has live performers and hands-on STEAM activities. Come interact with the bugs and animal exhibit or build a catapult out of popsicle sticks. Check out 3D printing, finger paint art, mirror math and so much more. Don't miss it!

Pick Up Your Egg Drop Kits - LIMITED SUPPLY AVAILABLE
The egg drop event will return at this year's STEAM Night! Egg Drop Kits will be available from the front office beginning Monday, March 14, until we run out of kits! ONE PER FAMILY!! (PDF Directions attached below)
Directions:
1. Create a contraption to protect a raw egg from breaking. (You provide the EGG)
2. Use all (or some) of the materials in the bag. No additional materials may be added. (If any of the listed materials are missing from your bag, you may add ONLY those items listed)
3. Your egg kit will be dropped from a height of approx. 15’
4. Bring your Egg Drop Contraption to STEAM Night at 5:30
5. Competition will be in the Quad area between 5:30-6:00pm

McPherson Education Foundation - STAR Mission
STAR Mission - the final stretch!
The last day of STAR Mission is tomorrow, March 18th! It's your last chance to earn prizes, level up your family total and help the McPherson Education Foundation in raising funds that directly support teachers, students and the STEM focus at our school. The race for top earning class is so close, with a difference of less than $100 between top contenders for a pizza party and extra recess!

McPherson Talent Show
Do you have a Talent??
Show it off and have some fun! McPherson PTSA is hosting a talent show for all McPherson students/staff on May 30, 5:30- 7:30pm. All types of talents are welcome to try out including single and group entries! All participants will receive a prize! More details to follow on tryouts and dress rehearsal dates.

T-Dap Required for all Students Entering 7th Grade in 24/25
REMINDER - If your 6th-grade student has not turned in proof of the T-Dap vaccination before they enter 7th grade next year, they will not be able to register nor attend school until their T-Dap proof is turned in. Please make sure you turn in your T-Dap vaccination record before your student enters 7th grade for the 24/25 school year.
Orange Public Library Children's Programs
Please open the attachment for fun activities in the Orange Public Library during March and April. Also, join in Orange Public Library’s 6th Annual Children’s Day / Book Day. There will be special performances, crafts, music, and more. Celebrate love of books, family literacy, and sharing stories.
