Thank You For Your Service
Thank you to Mr. Desmond (Marines), Mr. Lynch (Marines), Mr. Sceusa (Army), and Mr. Fallon (Army) for taking the time to visit Hilltop Elementary and share their experiences as proud members of the United States Armed Forces. Your stories, lessons, and examples of courage, teamwork, and dedication truly inspired our students and helped them better understand the meaning of service and sacrifice. We are so grateful for your time, your wisdom, and—most importantly—your service to our country

EWallet Set up

**Please take a minute to check out the Scholastic EWallet payment option. This is a great way for parents to set a preset limit of money directly with Scholastic for students to use at the fair. This can be set up at any time and is a great way to make sure they have money to spend when they visit with their class. Please see the information below on how it works and how to set it up.**
Scholastic Book Fair Flyer and Wish List Form will be sent home prior to the Book Fair
We look forward to seeing you & hope all your children enjoy their new books!
If you have any questions, please contact the HSA (mendhamboroughhsa@gmail.com)
WMJWC Food Drive
Less than a week to go for our Thanksgiving Food Drive and the race for the Turkey Cup is very close!! We were absolutely amazed by the amount of food in every box this week - thank you all! We are very short on canned yams & canned fruit pie filling (cherry or apple) which we need to assemble bags with balanced meals, so ANY class is welcome to bring those items in, in addition to their assigned item, and will receive the appropriate feather credit. Final day for donations is Wednesday 11/19.

Head Lice
We would like to be proactive with stopping the spread of head lice this school year. Please be diligent in checking your child's scalp at home, reporting to the school any instances of active lice, and treating your child's scalp if they have lice. Communication between home and school is essential.
Some helpful tips are
- Girls should wear their hair in a ponytail or braids. Hairspray also can create barrier that make it more difficult for lice to settle in your child's scalp
- Encourage children to be mindful of head-to-head contact with others, especially during play or other activities
- Your child's stuffed animals and bedding should be washed and dried in high temperature settings
