Digital Citizenship, Wellness & Innovation 💻
Digital Citizenship Week!
This year during Advisory, students will receive instruction on digital citizenship. Lessons will be taught on media balance and well-being, privacy and security, digital footprint and identity, relationships and communication, cyberbullying, digital drama, and hate speech, news and media literacy, and artificial intelligence. This week is National Digital Citizenship Week where we will have special activities and events for students. Our main focus will be on screen time and digital wellness.
As we kick off another year of learning on this topic, families are invited to view the Common Sense website with resources to guide discussions with your student. See more information at the link below. There are family technology planners, toolkits and more.
Securly Home
Families can monitor and control their student's screen time on school laptops while at home. The Securly Home APP allows for these features. Learn how to create your account with the information found here.
Attendance
Student ID Badges
All Henrico County Public Schools students will be provided student ID cards to bring and use to school every day. These cards are designed to streamline and simplify various parts of the school day, while making school environments safer and more secure. The cards bring together a handful of processes and makes them all accessible with a quick scan or tap.
Once they receive them, please be sure that your student has their ID badges when they board the bus. ID badges are required and help to ensure safety for all students.

School Zone Traffic Safety
We appreciate your patience during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Here are a few key points to keep your student and our entire community as safe as possible.

- Remember to keep the speed to under 10 MPH while on campus.
- Please pull onto campus to drop-off or pick-up your student, as it is unsafe to load or unload students into vehicles parked on Messer Road.
- Please avoid parking in staff parking spaces in the morning while waiting.
- Please follow all directives given by our trained School Security Officer.
