Hawks with Heart Update:

Hawks With Heart wrapped up its final service project of the year with a meaningful celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week. Club members began by brainstorming in teams around three thoughtful questions: What are things your teachers do for you? Why are your teachers important to you? and How can you show appreciation to your teachers?

After 15 minutes of collaboration, students shared highlights from their discussions — and what an incredible conversation it was! Members reflected on the many ways teachers support, encourage, and inspire them each day.

This discussion led into the club’s “Lollipop Project.” Each member received several lollipops along with special appreciation messages. Students could either create their own notes or select from messages prepared by the club leaders. Every message began with the phrase, “Give this to a teacher who…” Over the next few days, members distributed the treats and heartfelt notes to teachers throughout the school.

The project was a fun and meaningful way to end a very successful inaugural year for Hawks With Heart. Thank you to everyone who helped make this first year so productive, positive, and impactful. The club looks forward to celebrating all of its hard work with a pizza party in June!

Dr. G. Shared Strategies for How to "Finish Strong" in May and June!

On May 1, 2026, Dr. G. met with students in grades one through four. He reviewed that as Yogi Berra used to say, "It ain't over until it is over." The school year is not yet over. Students need to keep working hard and making good behavior choices so that they can "Finish Strong." Here is a summary of what Dr. G. shared during these assemblies:

  • Students need to work hard during the "End of the Year" assessments.
  • Students need to be good role models for our kindergarten and PK students.
  • Students who make appropriate behavior choices will learn a lot and have a lot of fun during the next six weeks.
  • They could also earn PBIS Tickets, PBIS Stickers, prizes, books, and even "The Golden Spoon."
  • Students who make inappropriate behavior choices could earn one or more Recess Detentions, one or more Bus Suspensions, or even one of more Out of School Suspensions.
  • Students need to ensure that they do not engage in any type of bullying behaviors.
  • Students who observe bullying behaviors in other students must tell an adult at Hoover on the day of the incident so that we can investigate what happened and take appropriate action.
  • Our staff members are very good at solving the problems we know about.
  • Students need to ensure that they only use their Chromebooks for appropriate instructional activities.
  • Students must ensure that their Chromebooks are charged every night.

STUDENT, FAMILY INFORMATION UPDATES (ENTERING GRADES 1-4, 6-8, 10-12)

Starting this spring, ALL Neshaminy parents and guardians (except those re-registering for rising grade 5 and 9 students) must update their information in Home Access each year. This is a new requirement that will help the district to maintain correct information and enhance communications. Parents and guardians can confirm or update their information by logging into their Home Access accounts. No documents are required unless there is a change of address, multiple occupancy affidavit, or affidavit of support required.

Please visit the Neshaminy website using the link below for information on how to update your information in Home Access Center.

Visit our employment website to see the available positions and complete an application or join us at one of our ESS Hiring Events held on several Fridays in the District Board Room at Maple Point.

What is P.B.I.S.?

P.B.I.S. stands for Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports. At Hoover Elementary School, we believe that students can be taught how to make appropriate behavior choices in the same way that they can be taught math, reading, science, and social studies. Our three behavior expectations are:

  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible
  • Be Safe

We teach our students how to meet these expectations in a variety of settings (classroom, cafeteria, playground, bus, hall, bathroom, etc.). We reinforce appropriate behaviors with verbal praise and with P.B.I.S. Tickets. Students who earn tickets can exchange them for a sticker that they can wear proudly throughout the day. Students can also earn prizes on Friday during our P.B.I.S. raffle. The more tickets you earn each week, the better the chance you have of winning a prize.

Our P.B.I.S. program has been recognized by the PA Commonwealth as being effective in helping our students to make appropriate behavior choices.
