Academy Announcements

Dear Academy Families and Friends,

Welcome officially to November. It's a fast month with no school on November 5 (Election Day) and November 11 (Veteran's Day) as well as half days on the 13th and 27th (leading into Thanksgiving Break). Here's a few other notes and reminders:

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be on the night of the 12th in person and virtual during the day on the 13th of the month. Our goal is to meet and connect with 100% of our families so please sign up for a meeting as soon as possible.
Our next School Council and Parent Council meeting is on November 6th.
Our next school ROAR assembly is on Friday, November 8th.
The Pumpkins and Poems contest was a big success. We had some amazing creative projects!
From the food services: Fun lunch this week will be Cereal instead of Nachos for the full week. Also while lunch is free, Ms. Ann wanted families to know that if students want to buy a second lunch, the cost is $3.50.
Our next Academy Ambassadors is after school this monday until 4:15PM. They will be working on a Canned Food Drive and the annual Coats for kids drive, so please start saving to support these two community service projects!

Attendance and Being on Time

Reminder: We know kids will get sick and miss school from time to time. Please be sure to call the school office and report them being out. The attendance hotline is open all morning up to 8:30AM. Call and report an absence each time they are out at 781.335.4717. Our goal is to cut down on absenteeism...because when kids are out, it's really hard for them to keep up with their peers who are in every day!
