As part of National Healthy Eating Week, we have been focusing on the importance of healthy eating and having a balanced diet. Throughout the week students have had an assembly, promoting the importance of eating well and have had lessons with a focus on healthy eating. Leading by example, our staff have been sharing the nutritious snacks and meals they've brought for lunch to encourage students to try healthy foods and the school Canteen has been promoting the healthy selection of meals available everyday.

On Wednesday 14th June, 30 Year 10 students attended the Art and Design Degree show at the Manchester Metropolitan University. This was an opportunity to see the work of other talented students, get a glimpse at university life and make connections. Pupils were so inspired by the outstanding pieces at the event and left with so many ideas for their own work. They were also very impressed by the facilities and studio spaces at the University.

At Hathershaw we provide our students with inspiring experiences that opens doors to the future.
