NES Parent Newsletter 9/22/25
September 22, 2025

Dear NES Families,
Thank you to all the parents who attended our recent APTT, SAC, and Title I meetings. Your participation is so important and truly appreciated—it plays a vital role in both student growth and the success of our school community.
As a reminder, IDs are required to enter the building. Please have your ID ready to hold up to the camera before the door is opened. This helps us maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone.
For safety, please do not park at the curb in the bus circle after 2:00 p.m. We have a new route with a shuttle bus that arrives between 2:00–2:15, and we need the area clear to ensure a smooth and safe arrival/dismissal.
We are excited to announce our first PTO meeting of the year on Monday, September 22nd. PTO is a wonderful opportunity for parents to get involved, share ideas, and support school events and initiatives that benefit all of our students. We look forward to seeing many of you there!
Start with Hello Week was a success! Our halls were filled with smiling faces, warm greetings, and positive energy throughout the week. Thank you for encouraging your children to take part—it made a difference in creating a welcoming and connected school community.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education.
With gratitude and positivity,
Mrs. Jessica Lowe, Principal
Mrs. Heather Briney, Assistant Principal

This week’s focus: Keep Rolling with Positive Energy
This week, our school celebrated Start With Hello Week, a nationwide initiative that teaches students the power of noticing others, reaching out, and making new connections. Throughout the week, students participated in activities designed to help them practice kindness, inclusion, and making everyone feel like they belong.
Although Start With Hello Week has ended, we want to keep the spirit alive every day. At North Elementary, we are also an Energy Bus School, focusing on creating a positive, supportive environment where students lift each other up, choose kindness, and work together as a team.
Here are a few ways families can help keep the momentum going at home:
-
Encourage your child to say hello and greet others with a smile each day.
-
Talk about ways to include others who may be sitting or playing alone.
-
Remind your child that kind words and positive energy can brighten someone’s day.
-
Share daily examples of how your family “spreads positive energy” at home, in the community, or at school.
Together, by continuing the kindness of Start With Hello Week and following the Energy Bus principles, we can build a strong school community where every student feels valued, supported, and excited to come to school each day.
Thank you for your partnership in helping us spread kindness and positive energy!
