Hardman's Happenings
Hello Oak Hill Families,
Happy April! I hope you had a fun and relaxing Spring Break. As we head into the final stretch of the school year, we have several important updates and celebrations to share.
2026–2027 Student Registration Now Open
New and returning student registration for the 2026–27 school year is now open. Returning student registration is for students currently attending Oak Hill Schools in grades PK–11 who will return next year. To begin the process, log into your Skyward Family Access account and follow the directions provided. You can access Skyward by visiting our school website at ohusc.k12.in.us and clicking on the Skyward tile in the middle of the page.
If you do not remember your username or password, click the “Forgot your username or password?” link on the login screen. A reset link will be sent to your email.
New kindergarten students and new students in grades 1–12 can register by clicking on Prospective Students, then selecting Getting Started to view available registration options. Choose the option that best fits your needs.
The deadline to register new or returning students is Monday, July 6, 2026. Registering by this date helps us plan class sizes and transportation routes for the upcoming school year.
If you need technical support with online registration, please contact us at registration@ohusc.k12.in.us or call 765-395-3341 ext. 6017. For questions about the school or application processing, please contact your child’s school secretary at 765-395-3341.
While registering, please take time to review and update any contact or family information in Skyward to ensure we have the most accurate details on file.
School Bus Driver Appreciation Day – April 22
We are fortunate to have amazing bus drivers at Oak Hill, and we will celebrate them on Wednesday, April 22 for School Bus Driver Appreciation Day. Their dedication and commitment help ensure our students arrive safely each day, and we are grateful for all they do.
We are also always looking for substitute bus drivers. If you or someone you know may be interested in joining our transportation team, please reach out to Kim Yeary, OHUSC Transportation Secretary, at 765-395-3341 ext. 1106 or kimberlyye@ohusc.k12.in.us for more information about obtaining a CDL with a school bus endorsement.
As we move through April and May, we look forward to finishing the school year strong. The last day of school for students is Thursday, May 21st and the last day for staff is Friday, May 22nd. Thank you for your continued support of Oak Hill Schools. We are already excited and planning for another amazing school year ahead.

Swayzee Fundraiser - Color Fun Run Announcement
Get ready, Swayzee—our Color Fun Run Fundraiser is here, and this one couldn’t be easier for families!
No deliveries. No selling. No cookie dough taking over your freezer.
All we’re asking is for families to help students share their personalized QR code with friends and family. Donations are tracked automatically, making this a simple and stress-free way to support our school.
Each student has an individual fundraising goal of $30, and any student who reaches that goal will be able to participate in the Color Fun Run for FREE!
Want to join the fun? Any Oak Hill student can participate for just $10, and others may register for $30. Registrations made in a student’s name will count toward their fundraising total—so spread the word!
Students may also collect cash or check donations, and those will be credited to the student as well. Please make checks payable to Swayzee Elementary School.
Let’s come together to make this a HUGE success for our Swayzee students while keeping it easy for everyone involved. Now let’s get sharing and bring the color!
Let’s make May 9th a bright and colorful day for the Swayzee Eagles and raise some money for student activities.

Greetings from Oak Hill Junior High
With spring break over and the end of school quickly approaching, the Oak Hill Junior High students and staff continue to work hard. The junior high staff looks forward to the continuing success of its students during the last month of the semester. Parents may contact Shawn Means at 765-395-3341 or by email at shawnme@ohusc.k12.in.us if they ever have any questions concerning their children. The following are some important upcoming events that will take place in the upcoming weeks.
Oak Hill High School continues to provide tutoring for all JH students after school on Tuesdays from 3:15pm to 4:15pm. This is an excellent opportunity for your child to receive academic enrichment or to get help understanding certain topics as we approach ILEARN testing and final exams. Tutoring will continue until the middle of May.
ILEARN testing will take place from April 14 through April 21. Indiana Learning Evaluation Assessment Readiness Network (ILEARN) is the summative accountability assessment for Indiana students in grades 3 through 8 and high school biology. ILEARN measures student achievement and growth according to Indiana Academic Standards for English/Language Arts (grades 3 through 8) and Mathematics (grades 3 through 8). Please make sure your child is getting plenty of sleep and is well rested. Testing will be in the mornings on April 14, April 15, and April 21. It is important to make sure your child’s chromebook is fully charged when they come to school on those testing days. If your child has wired headphones, they may use them on the test. They may not use wireless headphones. If your child does not have headphones, a pair will be provided. It is the hope that all our students knock it out of the park and continue to show growth and improvement!
