Field Day - May 23rd

On Field Day, the school will celebrate the end of the year with a day of outdoor fun. Students should be prepared to spend the day outside. Sunblock, hats, sunglasses, a beach towel, and clothing that can get wet (there will be water activities) are highly encouraged.

Parents/Guardians who wish to support/attend should contact their student's teacher. Classrooms have a set number of spots for visitors. Parents/Guardians supporting and visiting classrooms must sign in at the main office and remain with the classroom for the day. Open attendance for spectators is not permitted. Field day is still a school day, but with a different schedule. This is not a game/event/public happening. With a focus on keeping all students and staff members safe, visitors will enter through the main office. Parking and walking around the building are not permitted. Anyone without a visible visitor's badge will be asked to leave or sign in with the main office. Need to contact your student's teacher? Check out the King's Highway Staff Contacts: Staff | King's Highway Elementary

Volunteers assisting with running events and games must have clearances on file with the main office. For more information on clearances, parentvolunteerinfo | Coatesville Area School District

School Bus Safety Reminders School Bus Safety Reminders

As we wind down the school year, it is still essential that students practice safe bus riding skills. Please revisit safe bus riding expectations with students.

Here are some Safe Bus bus-riding guidelines for all students:

  1. Stay Seated: Students should always remain seated while the bus is moving. Feet should be towards the front of the bus, not in the aisle or on the seat.
  2. Use Quiet Voices: To help the driver concentrate, students should keep conversations at a reasonable volume and avoid loud or distracting noises.
  3. Follow the Driver's Instructions: The bus driver is in charge of the bus and must be followed at all times to ensure safety.
  4. No Food or Drink: Students should refrain from eating or drinking on the bus for safety reasons.
  5. Respect Personal Space: Students should keep their hands, feet, and belongings to themselves and respect others' personal space.
  6. Be Kind and show PRIDE: Students are expected to treat their peers and the bus driver with kindness and respect at all times.
