Principal's Corner
As we wrap up the month, our school community proudly celebrated Veterans Day, honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. Our students participated in meaningful activities to learn about service, sacrifice, and gratitude.
This month’s Leader of the Month focus was Put First Things First. Students practiced prioritizing their responsibilities, managing their time, and staying focused on what matters most. We are so proud of the leadership skills they continue to build each day.
Our Student Lighthouse Team has now visited every building in the district to learn from other leaders and share their own leadership experiences. We are incredibly proud of the way they represent our school.
As we head into winter break, I want to wish all of our students and families a relaxing, joyful, and well-deserved time of rest. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in January, refreshed and ready to begin 2026 with a clear focus on setting goals, working hard, and achieving great things together.
With Ranger Pride,
Kelly Altiers

Mrs. Cook’s Science Class Explores Local Invasive Species
Students in Mrs. Cook’s Science class researched and learned about locally invasive species, exploring how these plants and animals impact the environment and the community. Through their studies, they gained a deeper understanding of why and how invasive species spread, the problems they cause, and what people can do to help protect local ecosystems.

Putting the pieces together to celebrate our Veterans
Ms. Platfoot's classes worked collaboratively to create a Veterans Day poster. Each student received a piece of the puzzle, then added their piece in the appropriate spot to create the full picture. This was a great way to show appreciation, and have a discussion about Veterans Day.

Leaders of the Month
October student leaders of the month had the option to choose between Fuel Up with Firefighters or Cops and Cookies. BIG thank you to the Obetz Police Department and Hamilton Township Fire Department for visiting. The students asked questions about their careers and a typical day.
Extra BIG thank you to Sheetz and parents volunteers for providing yummy snacks for each group!

Lighthouse Team
The 6th grade Lighthouse Team visited the preschool to help spread leadership and joy. They greeted students as a welcome crew, played games, read books, helped with snack time, and even wrapped up with some fun dance parties! We are so proud of their kindness, leadership, and positive example for our youngest learners.
The Lighthouse Team visited the elementary school this week to read Leader in Me books with younger students and lend a helping hand in their classrooms. Our student leaders did a fantastic job serving as positive role models and spreading leadership throughout the building!
Connection Crew
The objective of the Connection Crew is to create an inclusive space for students with disabilities and their peers to connect in a supportive environment. Through engaging activities and shared experiences, we aim to foster mutual understanding, build social skills, enhance friendships, and create a positive and enriching atmosphere for all participants. Together, we strive to promote personal growth, confidence, and a sense of belonging within our community.
Veterans Day Celebrations
Intermediate students celebrated and honored Veterans Day throughout the building with a variety of meaningful activities. Students decorated grocery bags that were delivered to the M.A.S.H. Food Pantry in Delaware, wrote letters of appreciation that were shared with local veterans in our community, and even contributed notes that were taken to greet a recent Honor Flight at the Columbus Airport. We are proud of our students for showing gratitude and demonstrating leadership as they honored those who have served our country.
Secret Staff Spirit Week
The staff had a blast participating in a Secret Staff Spirit Week! The week included a stealthy ninja game while everyone dressed in all black, a creative “Anything But a Cup” challenge, a favorite hat day, and the crowd-pleasing celebration of the 67th day of school. It was a fun way to build community, share some laughs, and keep spirits high throughout the week!
PTO
Grateful for our PTO
A big THANK YOU to our PTO, students, and families for contributing to the Thanksgiving Feather the Turkey fundraiser! Mr. McCutcheon had a gobbling good time strutting through the halls in his turkey outfit.
The PTO supports our school all year long with events like Field Day, student dances, and the PBIS points store. We are especially grateful for their help organizing food donations for the teacher dinner before conferences this month. Your dedication makes a big difference for our staff and students!
