NEW CAMPUS ACCESS GUIDELINES FOR VHES
Campus Access & Visitor Guidelines at Vintage Hills Elementary
At Vintage Hills Elementary School, the safety and well-being of our students is our top priority. We are a closed campus, which means that access during school hours is limited and monitored to ensure a secure learning environment for all.
That said, we greatly value parent involvement and love welcoming families onto campus through a variety of opportunities including school events, classroom volunteering, and our weekly Wednesday Flag Salute.
Visitors at Lunchtime
To ensure the safety of students and ensure that parents are only able to have access to their own child they may choose to do one of the following:
Sign their own child out through the office, enjoy lunch off-campus, and then sign them back afterward.
Parents can bring lunch in and enjoy lunch with their child in the front office.
Visitors will not be permitted in the lunch or playground areas.
Parent Volunteers
Parent volunteers are a vital part of the Vintage Hills community. Many programs and classroom activities would not be possible without their support.
To volunteer on campus, parents must:
Submit an online application through the Raptor system
Pass a Megan’s Law Background Check
Provide proof of a current TB test (valid for 4 years)
Submit a copy of their photo ID
While volunteering:
All Volunteers must have it cleared with a teacher or staff member ahead of time prior to coming on campus.
Volunteers will need to check in with the office staff who will have a list of volunteers that have been cleared to volunteer on campus on that day/time.
Volunteers must sign in through the Raptor System and wear a Volunteer Badge.
Phones should be put away to maintain focus and privacy.
Photographing or videotaping of students is not allowed without prior administrative approval.
Non-enrolled children may not accompany volunteers on campus. For at-home volunteer opportunities, please contact your child’s teacher.
As stated in Board Policy 1250 and Education Code 51512, “No electronic listening or recording device may be used by visitors in a classroom without the teacher and principal’s permission.”
Middle and high school students are not allowed on campus during school hours without prior administrative approval at the teacher’s request.
Keeping Everyone Safe
All these guidelines exist for one purpose: to ensure a safe, secure, and supportive environment for every student at Vintage Hills. Your cooperation and involvement are deeply appreciated, and we look forward to seeing you at school events, volunteer opportunities, and more!
It is now time to complete your Annual Family Update in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This update is REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS RETURNING TO TVUSD FOR THE 25/26 SCHOOL YEAR.

Class Changes
As you know, Vintage Hills Elementary School has an excellent reputation for its academic program and performance. We pride ourselves on our outstanding teaching staff. All teachers plan instruction based on our California State Standards and curriculum content is consistent across grade levels.
Please note that classroom changes will not be made during the first several weeks of school, as many classes are currently full and we are verifying enrollment. Thank you for your understanding as we work to create a successful learning environment for all students. Our teachers have carefully balanced classrooms to ensure the success of all students. Thank you for your cooperation.
School is Cool!
Daily attendance is crucial for student success, especially in the upcoming weeks as teachers prepare progress reports. Consistent attendance ensures that students are fully engaged in their learning and receive the support and instruction they need to make steady progress. Missing school even for just a day can result in missed lessons, assignments, and valuable class interactions. As we approach progress report time, it's even more important to ensure students are present and involved in all classroom activities to showcase their true potential. Your continued support in prioritizing daily attendance makes a big difference in helping students stay on track and succeed!
