Weekly News
At Main Road School, we had a wonderful and spirited week celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Week! On Tuesday, we marked the 100th Day of School with students and staff dressing as 100-year-olds—there were plenty of gray wigs, canes, and lots of laughter throughout the building. We continued the fun with our 101st Day of School celebration, where everyone wore black and white. Our additional spirit days included “We're all on the same team” with wearing sports attire and “Dream of Kindness” day, where students wore their pajamas as a reminder to always lead with compassion.
A special highlight of the week was our kindness initiative organized by the Child Connection Center. Students wrote inspirational messages that are now proudly displayed on heart cutouts in the cafeteria, serving as a daily reminder of the positive impact our words and actions can have on others. It was a heartwarming week that truly reflected the caring culture of our Main Road School community.
For February, the core value that aligns with Main Road School is Perseverance. Students will earn Inverso Incentive dollars this month by showing perseverance. These dollars will be cashed in weekly during their lunch at the Inverso Emporium.
Please feel free to reach out to the PTO with any fundraising ideas you may have, as well as opportunities to get involved within our school community. Our next PTO Meeting will be Tuesday, February 10th at 7:00 PM. Below you can find a flyer for candy gram sales in the month of February.
A friendly reminder went out to parents and guardians this week letting you know that mid year data for your child can be viewed in the Realtime parent portal. Please make sure you are accessing this information to be aware of your child's academics.
Main Road School conducted a security drill and fire drill this week on February 17th and 18th.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We look forward to another great week ahead!
Friendly Reminder: The doors open at Main Road School at 8:12 and parent pickup begins at 2:50 PM! **IF you are picking up your child, you must let the office know by 2 PM. Please be sure to notify the office and not the teacher, as they WILL NOT see the email/dojo message while they are teaching**
