Free Discovery Lab for High Schools!
Interested in booking a Deep Sea Debris program? Now is the time! The JEM Project is generously sponsoring any San Diego high school to participate for FREE in our Deep Sea Debris program — either as a Discovery Lab at the aquarium or an Aquarium Express Outreach at your school.
In this program for grades 9-12, your students will discover how human activity is impacting deep-sea ecosystems. They will examine the stomachs of a deep sea predator, the longnose lancetfish, and collect data about their contents to understand how pollution impacts every part of our ocean planet.
California Environmental Literacy Initiative’s (CAELI) first-ever statewide environmental literacy survey.
CAELI is pleased to announce the release of California Environmental Literacy Initiative’s (CAELI) first-ever statewide environmental literacy survey. This fifteen-minute survey aims to understand how environmental literacy is being implemented in California classrooms including identifying areas of achievement plus districts that currently lack access.
By participating in this survey, teachers and administrators will contribute valuable insights that will shape the decisions and resources provided by school districts and county offices of education.
Not only will your input support the educational experiences of students across California, but you also have a chance to win one of four $250 prizes as a token of their appreciation. Thank you in advance for your valuable contribution!
To participate, please take the survey.
