Beard's Bulletin:
I’m super excited to share with our community that Tiger Creek has had some amazing College and Career Readiness Indicators that were released on Monday, Feb.24th . Our Single Score Calculations for a two-year period was a 78.5! That is the 3rd highest in the school district among the elementary and primary schools.
It is the highest mark that I can remember in the 11 years I have been here. We have an amazing staff and an even more amazing student body here at Tiger Creek Elementary. Thank you parents for your collaboration, partnership and support—let’s celebrate!

The Dish with Mrs. Dills!
“Just as a seed grows into a tree, every little effort leads to big results.” – Unknown
This quote resonates with me when I think of our students and teachers. At the start of the year, our teachers began planting the seeds of learning through their commitment and excellent instruction. As we near the end of the year, we’re seeing those seeds bloom into wonderful growth. It’s so fulfilling to witness the progress our students have made in such a short time. I am incredibly proud of every student who walks through the doors at Tiger Creek, and I cannot speak highly enough of our dedicated staff. Together, we make Tiger Creek truly Tiger-riffic!
I am honored and excited to dance in Dance Stars Chattanooga on March 29th. I have been challenged to raise $20,000 for Helping Hands Ending Hunger. I am passionate about this because we are setting up our Kids Helping Kids food pantry through Helping Hands at Tiger Creek. This will be a tremendous resource for our students and families that face food insecurity. Tiger Creek will be able to provide support for families when a need arises. If you would like to know more about Dance Stars Chattanooga or if you would like to vote for "Team Jayme & Ryan" click the QR code below or go to https://www.dancestarschatt.com/jayme-dills Every dollar counts as one vote. Thank you so much for your support!

Academic Coach's Minute
Dear Parents,
Reading with your child for just 20 minutes each night can make a huge difference in their success! This simple habit helps build vocabulary, improves comprehension, and fosters a lifelong love of learning. Plus, it’s a great way to bond and unwind together.
Thank you for making reading a priority at home!
Happy Reading!

Counselor's Corner with Mrs. Haynes
The Character word for March is Perseverance - to keep going even when it gets tough!
Our counseling lessons focus on Mindfulness strategies that we can use each day to control our emotions: Rainbow Breathing, Grounding 5-4-3-2-1, and Positive Muscle Relaxation. Have your Tiger cub tell you how to use these activities:
March Character Trait: Perseverance
This month's character trait is Perseverance! Working without giving up even when it is hard. The ability to keep working towards a goal even when faced with challenges.
Rex says No Pictures because he is shedding at the moment! He is living the character education word this month: Perseverance... working through the shedding process is hard work. Come back next month for more Rex adventures!
Officer Holli's Safety Minute
Greetings from Officer Holli. As we enter into March, it’s a great time to emphasize on some important safety tips and reminders to ensure everyone stays safe. Our focus this month is going to be on seatbelt safety. This has been brought to our attention more and more lately as vehicles are circulating through our drop off and pick up lines.
1-Seatbelt safety matters why? It reduces the risk of injury or death by 50%., whether you're a passenger or driver. Wearing a seatbelt is the law, and can result in fines if not worn.
2-Buckling up correctly. Lap belts and shoulder belts must be wore correctly and not behind the seat or loosely over the stomach, Booster seats are required for children who are under 8 years old and under 57”tall.
3- Consequences for not wearing seatbelts. In the event of not wearing a seatbelt and an accident were to occur, a person can be ejected from the car causing significant injury and even death. Also, legal consequences can occur including state fines
Let us make a commitment this month and going forward, no matter how short or long the trip is, to hold everyone including ourselves accountable for buckling up for safety! It is everyone’s responsibility to be safe on the road!
Officer Holli
PLEASE REMEMBER:
You must have your ID to enter the building.

Title 1 Spring Family Survey coming soon!
Hello parents! In just a few short weeks it will be SPRING! Since starting in late October, I am really enjoying being your Parent Involvement Coordinator. I hope that I can make a difference for all our TCE families, & staff. I wanted to let you know that in the next few days, the Title 1 Spring Family Survey will be sent out. The Spring Survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete. I know parents are busy and don't have enough time during the day but this survey is very important to Tiger Creek. I really want to get abundance of responses to help me plan for the new school year. Your responses will help guide me with what kind of events to plan and if you prefer for them to be in house or an online presentation, during the day or in the evening and so much more. I do plan to reward your student(s) with a treat for you taking the time to fill it out. Thank you so much for helping with this.
