Adair Police Department has installed new school zone speed limit signs The school zone will be effective from 7:45 am until 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, as long as students are present on Adair Public Schools campus. This will exclude any holidays or any times that students are not present. The new school zone signs state, “ School, Speed limit 20mph while children are present.” With this new change, officers will have some leniency for the first few days of school to let everyone learn the new process, but citations will be issued after that time, and fines will be doubled due to it being a school zone. There will be no tolerance because student safety is key.
