The Rebel Kitchen offers a Plant-Based Option everyday at Lunch. Breakfast is served everyday after 7:30 a.m. A friendly reminder that students must have money on their account in order to purchase a la carte items or additional lunches. All students receive one breakfast/lunch daily, free of charge.

Reminder to all JH and HS students to get to their scheduled classes on time! If you accumulate 3 or more tardies in a week time span, you will be assigned a 1 hour after school detention on Wednesday from 2:00 - 3:00 pm. This includes 1st hour attendance!

Reminder to all JH and HS students that if you do not attend a scheduled class without excuse, this will be considered an unexcused absence and skipped class. Any skipped classes will be assigned a 1 hour after school detention on Wednesday from 2:00 - 3:00 pm. This includes your Advisory class.

Don't forget to take advantage of ISAC's office hours! She will be here tomorrow again to offer help with FAFSA or anything related to college applications.

Sophomores, Jostens will be here tomorrow, Tuesday, during advisory to deliver your class rings. If you have a balance, please bring your payment to school tomorrow so you can pick up your class ring.

• Congratulations to Addyson McGee who had 15 correct guesses in the library's Guess the Staff Member contest! Addyson may come to the library and pick up her gift card to West Main Coffee!
• A special shout out to Ms McGann who really knows her staff and had 17 correct guesses!
• The pictures are now labeled with the name of each staff member. Stop by the library and take a look!!

If you are planning to take the Accuplacer test for Black Hawk's dual credit classes, please fill out the survey that was emailed by the end of the day Tuesday, December 2nd.

SCHS StuCo - pick up a Secret Santa form from Ms. Jackson's room & return to her by the end of the day today!

There is a SCHS StuCo meeting in Ms. Jackson's Room During Pride Time on Wednesday, December 3rd.

Festive Sweater Day is Friday December 5th! SCHS StuCo will be selling a sweet surprise during all lunches on Friday.

• There will be an all member FFA meeting during Pride Time on Thursday in Mr. Parrish's room.

• Get ready, something NEW is coming! The Junior High Agriculture Club is launching, and it’s open to anyone who likes hands-on projects, animals, plants, food science, mechanics, or just trying something totally different.
• This club will bring fun activities, real-world skills, and exciting projects you won’t want to miss including working with the high school FFA! If you’re looking for a new adventure, meet us in Mrs. Lane's room in the Junior High on Friday during Pride Time. For more information, please see Mrs. Lane or Ms. Wilkinson.

• This is a hilarious novel about Jack a regular kid whose life is turned upside down when he discovers his new family dog, which he names Jingle, is actually an astronaut chimpanzee in hiding.

• Atlas of the Heart by Brene' Brown
• Atlas of the Heart is a non-fiction book that explores 87 human emotions and experiences giving readers the language to accurately name and understand their feelings.

On the 3rd day of Books-mas the library gave to me:

• Allies is a historical fiction novel that vividly follows multiple young people- soldiers, spies, and medics- during the D-Day invasion of World War 2.

Congratulations to Piper Tyree and Levi Sparks for being selected to participate in the All State Senior Chorus and Junior Band, respectively. This is a recognition that they are two of the best student musicians in the state of Illinois! They will perform at the Illinois Music Education Conference in January 2026 at the Peoria Civic Center.

ACCUPLACER test will be scheduled to take in Room 222 on Thursday, December 4th during 5th hour. This test CAN'T be taken on a Chromebook- please plan to bring your own device from home. If you do not have access to a laptop, you must let me know asap so I can try to help find one for you.
*You need to know your Black Hawk 900 number to take this test
*You must confirm with me that you're coming to test so we are both prepared (email Mrs. Westphal or stop in to sign up)

*Do NOT skip a high school class to take this test
*Must make pre-arrangements with your teacher if you are missing a class

From now until break, the JH Student Council is holding a clothing drive. Do you have bags of clothes that don't fit anymore or just don't fit your vibe? Donate them here! All clothing must be clean and in good shape.

Attention Freshmen: The freshman class needs people to work the concession stand on Thursday, December 11th, for the high school basketball game. Start time is 5:30. Money raised will go to your class. The sign-up sheet is outside Ms. Carroll's door, Room 325.

Please note details for HS Parking this school year. Students will not be allowed to park on Franklin St. or Prairie Ave. Additional parking is available in the additional HS lot and the new JH lot.
