Brahma Briefing
Brahma Weekly Updates
Week 34: April 27 - May 1, 2020
Hello Brahmas,
Welcome to Week 34.
This week we enter our last month of school. With the increase of virtual activities, time will move even faster. It is hard to believe the last time we were on campus was over 6 weeks ago!
An important activity which is right around the corner is our AP Exams. AP Testing begins in two weeks on May 11. Some of our students may have increased anxiety because they may not have received a survey from College Board asking students to confirm their AP tests. If this is you, please know that we have confirmed with College Board that your receipt was not necessary to take the test. If you still have questions, please send an email to ncabase@wvusd.k12.ca.us.
SENIOR GRADUATION INFO: Our Senior Virtual Assembly with specific details about cap & gown distribution, senior award recognition, and our virtual graduation ceremony is coming soon. We are finalizing the details of these important events and will communicate them soon. To begin, we want to make sure we have the correct pronunciation of your name. Please click HERE to make sure we say your name right!
- All assignments will be posted or emailed each week between Sunday @ 9 AM - Monday @ 9 AM.
- AP Testing, May 11 - 22
- Seniors' Last Day, May 22
- Memorial Day - No School, May 25
- Senior Virtual Activities Week, May 26 - 28
- Virtual Graduation, Thursday, May 28
Best Regards,
Reuben Jones
FREE College Admissions Webinar for SENIORS offered by Collegewise
As part of WVUSD’s comprehensive approach to taking care of our families during a time when we don’t get to see our students at our high school campuses, we have contracted with Collegewise to provide a series of online seminars to our WVUSD community about many of the impacts on college admissions.
The first webinar is exclusively for our Seniors. Traditionally, April is a busy time for Seniors, as they visit campuses and decide where to go before their deposit deadlines. With most college campuses now closed for visitors, this webinar will focus on creative and thoughtful ways students can make informed decisions from afar.

2020 YEARBOOK - Update
Information about Yearbook Sales and Distribution
Yearbook Distribution: The yearbook staff worked very hard to complete the yearbook and they are looking forward to distribution. If you ordered a yearbook this year, we will be distributing yearbooks when it is safe to do so. At this time, we do not know when distribution will take place or how we will be distributing the yearbooks, but we do know it will not be in May. Due to COVID-19, the plant that prints the yearbook has been closed since March 23, 2020. The plant is scheduled to re-open on May 4, 2020. Once we hear that the yearbook is printed and ready for delivery, we will send out information for distribution. Thank you for your patience.
Purchasing Yearbooks: If you are a senior and you would like to purchase a yearbook, there is information on dbhs.org. If you are an underclassman, you may purchase a book at distribution while supplies last.
