A Message from the Principals
by Ayrin Thibault, WCS Assistant Principal
School safety is our priority, and we recognize that recent news and the uncertainty surrounding it may bring up feelings of concern. We are especially mindful of the communities who have experienced tragedy and the lasting impact these events have on students, families, educators, and staff. We want to acknowledge these concerns while remaining grounded in our shared commitment to providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where students and staff feel connected, cared for, and ready to learn and grow.
Schools across CVSD have comprehensive safety plans and protocols to ensure that students and staff are as prepared as possible for emergency situations. Additionally, our Williston school safety team regularly collaborates with our CVSD partners, local emergency responders, and safety partners. Through these close working relationships, we continue to strengthen our commitment to school safety and the well-being of our community. We are deeply grateful for our teachers and staff, whose ongoing commitment to students, their care for one another, and their dedication to creating supportive learning environments make such a meaningful difference each day.
We encourage everyone to be mindful of their surroundings and remember the importance of “See Something, Say Something.” When we communicate concerns, look out for one another, and work together, we strengthen our school community. Thank you for your continued partnership, trust, and support.

This Week's PUP Quick Tip!
Default Plans
Dance every Tuesday? Part 2 on Mondays? School sports this season?
If your child has a regular class, lesson, etc. on set days of the week, this should be in the Default Plan - in the event a class is cancelled that would be a plan change for a specific date.
example: Monday Bus F home, Tuesday Bus H to UDC, Wed/Thurs Part 2, Friday Pick Up
On a WCS school team? Choose School Sports as the option for those days of the week and note what team. Practice cancelled? That's a plan change for that day. Season over? Update the default plan to the new end of day routine.
Note: Once your default plan is set, you only need to enter end of day plans when it is a change from the usual plan for that day of the week. If a change will be ongoing or recurring each week, please update the default plan accordingly.
When should I use PickUp Patrol?
We ask parents and caregivers to use PUP to inform the school of:
