St. Thomas School
Mid-Week Memo: September 30, 2026
Our Mission
St. Thomas School serves the parishes of St. Therese of Lisieux, Holy Spirit, and St. Matthew.
In partnership with the family, we are dedicated to nurturing the personal development of the whole child. Our mission is to instill Catholic values, foster self-discipline, and promote academic excellence in the spirit of a caring, affirming community.
From the Principal's Desk...
Dear St. Thomas families,
It’s time! The Gift Catalog Fundraiser kicked off this week in big fashion! Students brought packets home that have a paper catalog as well as a paper order form. However, the online component is essential for our school. Sign up and send out invitations to those who would like to purchase items – Christmas is coming! Also, if anyone would like to donate, please be sure to direct them to the parish website and select “St. Thomas School” from the drop down menu. This way we will get the full donation amount. It will count toward your child’s total collected for the fundraiser. Thank you for your support!
EDP Notification for Early Release If your child will be staying for EDP on an early release day (those who don’t stay every day), we must have 24 hours notice. Please contact the school at least 24 hours in advance of the early release day.
The Book Fair is Coming! In November, during the same week as our family conferences, we will be holding our Ignatius Book Fair. Please see the flyer below for a sneak peek and more details. Stay tuned for more information!
Youth Art Exhibit This Friday is the Youth art exhibit, if you are interested in attending. Mrs. Lindsey has selected some art pieces (K-8) from St. Thomas to be exhibited. Please see the details below:
Arrival Time. Children and youth can begin arriving around 4:00pm on Friday, October 2 at the Cathedral Guild Hall (307 Congress St.). We are flexible on arrival time, but would like to make sure each artwork is displayed in a beautiful way before we welcome the public at 5:00pm.
Parking & Navigation. There will be signs and parking attendants when you get to the Cathedral campus. You can park anywhere in the Cathedral lot. There is a smaller lot closer to the Guild Hall that you can use if you need to drop off any larger art pieces.
Exhibit. The exhibit is open to the public starting at 5:00pm. Between 5:00pm and 6:00pm, we encourage children and youth to view peers' artwork and interact with our guest artists who will be present for the show. There will be heavy hors d'oeuvres served. This portion of the conference is completely free for family and friends to join to see the artwork of the participants!
Raffle. All young people who submit a work of art will be entered to win a prize. Raffle winners will be announced shortly before 6:00pm.
Guest Artists. Our guest artists will be interacting with children during the art conference and offering classes. This will be a great opportunity for students to meet these talented and faith filled artists. Artist bios and the full schedule of weekend events can be found here: Faith & Beauty Conference 2026
Display & Return. We will keep artwork up the rest of the weekend as well, although we will move it to the side areas to make room for meals and other discussions. If a child/youth would prefer to take home the artwork immediately after the exhibit, that is alright too. If artwork is left at the Cathedral, please make sure it is clearly labeled on the pack with the child's name and a form of contact information for parents.
