📢New Robo Communication System📢
We will be transitioning to a new robo communication system on Sept 27. This new system will operate in a similar fashion to our existing one where the district can send you emails, texts and voice phone calls to disseminate information from the district and for emergencies.
Emails and voice calls will continue to be sent to all phone numbers and emails we have on file for you in our PowerSchool system without any interaction needed from you. What we do need from you is for you to opt in for text messages. Texts will only be sent to your cellular device if you opt in for receiving these texts.
To opt in you can scan the QR code in the attached flyer or you can text “Y” back to 67587 from all cellular devices that you would like to receive these notifications on. You can do this now or at your earliest convenience to be preemptively opted in.
We will also be sending an opt in text to all cellular phone numbers we currently have on file in or PowerSchool system to you on Sept 25th so you can opt in at that time also by responding “y” to that text. We are sending this communication to you now so you can preemptively opt in by texting “Y” to 67587 or preemptively opt out by texting “Stop” to 67587
If you experience any issues receiving communications from the new system, please email Steelton-HighspireSchoolDist@shsd.k12.pa.us

Empowering Future Financial Success: A Partnership with Financially Lit
Ms. Smith's Personal Finance classes are collaborating with a nonprofit organization called Financially Lit, led by Ms. Nicole Best and Mr. Merrick Green. They are generously guest teaching our classes on Tuesdays for eight weeks, providing essential financial knowledge at no cost! While this course is typically offered to adults for a fee, we’re fortunate to have their expertise available to our students for free. The students will learn effective money management skills to help them avoid financial hardships in the future. Ms. Smith is confident that this information will pave the way for their financial success!
Sweet Science
Mrs. Jones' Chemistry class tackled metric unit conversions this week. In our lab, we made chocolate cake in a mug, applying unit conversions for 1, 2, and 4 servings.
