Superintendent's Friday Message
December 5, 2025
Opening Message From Dr. Galusi
Dear Families & Caregivers,
I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving break. While I enjoyed the time spent last weekend with my family, I was just as glad to have all our students and staff return to our hallways this week.
Our school week started with a delightful presentation by Roberts Elementary students at Monday's Regular Meeting of the Medford School Committee. Students spoke about their experience creating the "Roberts Ram-Page", a student-led newspaper capturing all things happening at the school. The idea was proposed by students at the end of the last school year, and they're finalizing the first issue due out soon!
Thank you to Roberts Grade 2 instructor Ms. Devlin for advising our students throughout the creative process, and thank you to our young reporters for enhancing our Roberts school community!
Next Wednesday, December 10, will be a early release day for all students as Caregiver Conferences will be taking place in the afternoon across the district with our educators. Middle school students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m., and all other students will be dismissed at 12 p.m. For more information on caregiver conferences at your child's school, please contact the main office of your child's school.
Sincerely,
Dr. Galusi

MPS Afterschool Landscape Survey
Over the last few months, Medford Public Schools has partnered with the Belmont Afterschool Enrichment Collaborative (BASEC), a nonprofit out-of-school time organization based in Belmont and Maynard, MA serving students in grades K–12, to examine capacity challenges in our afterschool programs and identify areas of improvement.
As BASEC continues to collect data about our current program offerings, they are seeking feedback on how our school community feels about MPS current afterschool programs via the survey below.
MPS After School Landscape Survey
Your feedback is critical for helping us build community-driven solutions to our after school programming. The survey is open to all current MPS Elementary families, including those who do not have children in MPS afterschool programming or are on a waitlist. Thank you for your input and partnership as we work to serve more students and families in Medford!
