Summer 2024

Hello Families!

It is hard to believe we only have a few more weeks of the 23-24 school year left! . However, we are also still learning, finishing up our CAASP testing, and creating great memories so please remember to send your students well rested and on time. As we wrap up our school year, we want you to be aware of a few end of the year events and celebrations.

This year has been such a great year! It has been wonderful to watch our students grow and our community come together to support our amazing school. We really appreciate our families showing up to our family events, our fundraisers, and our informational nights. John Muir is a great school because of each family support system behind each student. Thank you for your contributions and dedication to your child's education!

Please note, if you are already enrolled, you do not need to re-enroll. If you have new students to enroll, please do so as soon as possible. Or you can go to the district office over the summer. Our office will be closed for summer June 12th and will reopen on July 25. Class lists for the next school year will be posted outside on the bulletin board at the front of the school on Wednesday August 7th by 3pm. School begins Thursday August 8th.

We hope you have a great summer full of relaxation and lasting memories.

Important notes for parents

Please communicate with your teachers for any missing work, meetings, etc.
When parking, please be respectful of our neighbors, do not park in their driveways.
Please drive safely, slowly and respectfully. We have a lot of students and we want our students and families to stay safe. If there are any immediate dangers or accidents, please call APD. You may also call the office to inform the school if necessary.
Please DO NOT bring treats for birthdays/ celebrations. Goody bags with pencils and non-consumable items are allowed only.
No parents allowed on campus, unless approved by the teacher and principal. Parent event nights will be sent out.
REMIND YOUR STUDENTS TO CHECK THE LOST AND FOUND before the last day of school. All items left will be donated.

John Muir Fun Run

Thank you John Muir families!! We are so amazed with all the support for our school! We have currently raised $31,264. John Muir will get 70% of our total funds raised. We have reached and surpassed our goal of $30,000. We are amazed at how much our school community has raised and we are so proud of our students. It is fun to see them excited about raising money and getting healthy. The funds raised will go towards student events, materials/ supplies, and or other student needs.

On the Fun Run day, please remember to have students eat a healthy breakfast, wear athletic shoes, bring a water bottle, and dress appropriately for weather. Please see the schedule we have for May 21st. Parents must stay in the spectator section (they cannot go on campus) and will enter in at the playground gate closest to the park.
