Welcome Back to Endeavor High School!
Dear Endeavor High School Students and Families,
Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas break filled with joy, relaxation, and cherished moments with loved ones. As we step into the second half of the school year, I am filled with excitement for all the possibilities that lie ahead.
This semester promises to be vibrant and engaging, with new opportunities for learning, growth, and connection. We have many events planned, from academic challenges to student club activities, and I encourage everyone to get involved and make the most of your time at Endeavor High.
I would also like to extend a warm welcome to our new students who are joining us this semester. We are thrilled to have you as part of the Endeavor family! I encourage you to reach out, make new friends, and embrace all that our school has to offer. Remember, you are not just joining a school; you are becoming part of a supportive community that values each member’s contributions.
Let’s make this semester one to remember! Together, we can achieve great things, support one another, and continue to strive for excellence.
Wishing you all a fantastic start to the new semester!

The Gift of Giving Back to Nature!
Around this time of year, we think a lot about giving and receiving gifts, but nature gives us gifts every day of the year! From clean water and fresh air, to the beauty that surrounds us, there is a lot to be grateful for. This year while we give to those around us, we can also think about giving back to the earth that we rely on so much!
Giving back to nature doesn’t have to be big or expensive. You can do simple things like recycling Christmas boxes or paper, feeding birds that have less food during winter, or saving energy by turning off extra lights. The best gifts we can give the planet are small and meaningful!
Here is Channelview, we are surrounded by nature, whether we realize it or not, and we can give back in small ways to make Channelview more beautiful and clean. Every time we take care of our environment, we make our local community a little healthier.
DID YOU KNOW:
Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to power a Christmas tree’s lights for two hours!
Hanging a simple bird feeder can help dozens of winter birds find food during the cold months.
If every family reused wrapping paper or bags, we could save millions of trees each holiday season!

New Scholarship Resources for High School Students
Access Scholarships is a free scholarship and college resource platform for student. Their goal is to connect high school students with scholarship opportunities and other financial aid resources to to help them navigate the (often complicated) world of higher education.
In addition to the scholarship search and directory (with over 10,000 scholarships in their database-they add to everyday), they have several resources specifically geared towards high school students.
All of the links below are great resources and opportunities for you!
ACT/SAT Info
What is the ACT/SAT test?
Both the SAT and the ACT are nationally administered, standardized tests that help schools evaluate your application and see how prepared you are for college courses. The SAT and ACT generally cover the same topics. Both ACT and SAT scores are used for college admissions decisions and awarding merit-based scholarships. Most colleges do not prefer one test over the other. Neither the SAT nor ACT is harder than the other. Different students tend to do better on one test than the other.
Ask Mrs. Jackson or Mrs. Salinas for more information.

The following is needed for a student to drive to Endeavor:

Students who drive to school without a license run the risk of receiving a citation from our campus Constable and will not be allowed to drive off of the campus with their vehicle. See Mrs. Barrientos in the front office for a permit.
