District Preparations for El Niño
You may notice crews removing trees at several campuses on weekends. As the City and District prepare for El Niño storms, inspections found these trees could fall or drop limbs in high winds and soaked soil. Removing them now protects students, staff and buildings.
As the District continues to prepare for what meteorologists say could be a historic El Niño winter, we're asking our families to also prepare. Please see the flyer below.
Attendance Power Week Coming In November
The week of Nov. 9-13 will be an Attendance Power Week! While Wednesday, Nov. 11 is Veterans Day, and schools will be closed, sites are planning fun activities meant to help spark excitement about coming to school.
Best of all, families don't have to do anything to prepare for this Power Week. No special colors, no funny socks—students will have to use their imaginations to figure out what the staff is up to. (And that's all we'll say, because we want them to be surprised.)
Learn About Dual Immersion
All parents or guardians interested in a Dual Immersion program for their child(ren) must attend one information meeting. See the dates below!
