CME PTO Weekly

Thank you so much to everyone who brought in some nourishment for our staff this week and they worked extra hard to meet with all of us for conferences! Everyone really appreciated it and we got so many compliments, but it's all thanks to YOU!!

Let's kick off Fall Break with a treat from Kona Ice! We hope you all have a restful and fun week off!

During the week of October 18th, Copper Mesa parents, family members, and friends are invited to attend your first SPENGA workout for FREE! When you come in, you can tell the front desk which Copper Mesa teacher you're supporting.

At the end of the week:

🏆 The teacher with the most supporters will receive $100 to use for themselves or their classroom.

💚 SPENGA will donate $10 for every new guest who attends (up to $300) directly to the Copper Mesa PTO

If you are a current SPENGA member, or you've taken a class before, you can still participate in supporting a teacher that week!

If you are unfamiliar with SPENGA, it's a great 60 minute workout that incorporates 20 minutes each of SPin, strENgth, and yoGA. It's a great workout that you can take at your own pace, in a fun, motivating environment. Why not give it a try for FREE (sign up HERE), support CME and try to get $100 for your teacher? 💚💛

Mark Your calendars for October’s Spirit Night at Prost Brewing Company! This restaurant is very family friendly, with a turf area outside for kids to run around while parents relax and catch up. The food is delicious, and we will receive 20% back from your order when you mention Copper Mesa (and whichever table you stop by to suggest that they mention CME as well ;)). Hope to see you there!

Our Son Event committee is working hard to bring us a super fun event to enjoy some quality time with our boys. We will be welcoming Nerf Turf to Copper Mesa, a company that facilitates fun and safe nerf wars inside the school! Save the date for November 7th, from 4-6pm. Tickets will be $20 for the first son/parent pair, and $10 per additional son. Boys must be 5 years old to participate. There will be a food truck to enjoy afterwards, if you’d like to stay and hang a little longer (we are working on selecting a good one!). Tickets are now available via MySchoolBucks (click HERE)!

Got a knack for party planning? Love reaching out to local businesses? Looking to get your hands dirty (We know for a fact there are some interested dads out there!)?

We are always looking for volunteers for Teacher/Staff Appreciation, our Daughter Event, our Son Event, School Beautification, our Spring Fundraiser, etc. If you would like to volunteer with PTO in any way, please let us know.

Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that gives dads the opportunity to spend either a half or whole day in the building with their children. You will help in classrooms and go to lunch and recess with your child.

The purpose of the program:

1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is essential.
2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. All dads are encouraged to be a Watch D.O.G.S. Dad at least once a year.

COPPER MESA YEARBOOK

Help us create a memorable yearbook by sharing your pictures with our yearbook committee. This can be at school events, spirit rock, class parties, class field trips, school clubs, etc. Please email photos to coppermesayearbook@gmail.com and include your child’s name and teacher.

KING SOOPERS CARDS

One of our biggest and easiest fundraisers has proven to be King Soopers Cards. In just over a year our total donation received is in excess of $15,000. If you haven’t registered your rewards number (phone number) yet, please do so, it’s quick and easy and a great way to earn funds for our school. This money helps us to pay for teacher and school grants and host some of our events.

Customizable Spirit Wear is always available at Schmancy Tees and Gifts. Orders take about two weeks and are delivered right to your child’s classroom.
