Mac El WeeklyNewsWeek of March 15, 2024

From the Principal From the Principal

What happened at Mac El this week...

Hooray! IREAD testing is complete! We're proud of our students for their hard work.

This week, our fifth graders embarked on a STEM adventure at the Indianapolis Coliseum! They participated in engaging exercise science activities and capped off the day by cheering on the Women's Horizon League Championship game.

Family Movie Night was a success! Students and families enjoyed a night of fun, bonding over a movie and delicious snacks. The event also supported the wonderful organization Helping Hands.

We've been enjoying some beautiful weather lately! However, a brief chill arrives on Monday, so please ensure your child dresses warmly.

Military Morning "High 5" Military Morning "High 5"

On March 20th, students will be greeted in the morning by members of the USAF Security Police. They will be here to give them high fives and wish them a good day! These members will come every month to say hello to our students. With the Grissom Air Force Reserve Base located nearby, it is a great opportunity to form a partnership with them. We are excited to offer our students the chance to be encouraged by our military personnel!

Attendance (765) 689-9131 Attendance (765) 689-9131

Parents or guardians must call the school attendance line when their child is absent. Call 765-689-9131 and wait to hear Maconaquah Elementary School and then attendance. Contacting the teacher is not the same as reporting it to the attendance line in the front office. When you call the attendance line to report a student's absence, please include why the child is absent, or it will be marked as unexcused. If a child is absent for a medical appointment, it is necessary to bring a doctor's note for the absence to be excused.
