Welcome! You are invited to join a webinar: An Introduction to the Harmful Digital Communications Act - What Parents and Caregivers Need to Know. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the webinar.

Navigating the online world can feel overwhelming for parents and caregivers, especially when things happen that weren't expected. The Harmful Digital Communications Act (HDCA) is New Zealand’s key law designed to help protect people from online harm, but many families aren’t sure what it means or how it works. In this introductory webinar, we’ll break down the HDCA in simple, practical terms. You’ll learn what counts as harmful digital communication, and what steps you can take if your child experiences online harm. We’ll also explore how Netsafe supports families and how to access help when you need it. Whether you’re looking to build your understanding or feel more confident supporting your child, this session will give you the knowledge and tools to take action.

HEALTHY ACTIVE LIVING

5. Hauora – Caring for the whole child.

We take a holistic approach to wellbeing, recognising that hauora includes physical, mental,

social and emotional health. At school, this looks like supporting students to build confidence,

manage challenges, develop relationships, and feel a strong sense of belonging.

6. Everyone can participate.

We are committed to creating an environment where every child feels included and able to

take part. This means adapting activities, removing barriers where possible, and ensuring all

students can experience enjoyment, learning, and a sense of achievement through movement.
