June 1 - June 4
Last Wednesday we celebrated our drama club's performance of A Tree Called Aesop! Students brought to life classic stories such as "The Tortoise and the Hare," "The Goose that Laid the Golden Egg," "A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing," and a remixed fable called "The Kids who Cried Monster" featuring a surprise appearance by teacher and director Ms. Nackley.
This is the first year Madison has offered drama in some time, and we are pleased to offer the class to all 6th graders for a quarter when taking the elective wheel. Also, all students have the opportunity to join in during the before school club. Ms. Nackley, partners with RBV drama teacher Ms. Scott and Madison music teacher Ms. Jennison in putting together these opportunities for students. It's a great pathway for students who wish to pursue the performing arts in high school, and we are looking forward to expanding the program and seeing more performances from them next year!
As we enter the final four days of school, I want to thank all of our parents and families for entrusting us with your students’ education. Middle school is an important and sometimes challenging season of life, and we are honored to partner with you in creating a safe and welcoming experience where students feel academically challenged, supported, and prepared for high school and beyond.
If you have an 8th grader with us, congratulations! Please be sure to review the announcements below for important details about the week’s activities, including Monday’s Field Day, Tuesday’s promotion practice, Wednesday’s Knott’s Berry Farm trip, and Thursday’s promotion ceremony.
For our 6th and 7th grade families, please remind your students to return their Yondr pouches, Chromebooks, and chargers. We also encourage you to check out the summer opportunities listed below, including sports camps and Madison’s summer school program. If you have any questions about summer opportunities or the 2026–2027 school year, please do not hesitate to reach out.
It has been a great school year. We have truly enjoyed working with your children, and we hope you have an amazing and restful summer break!
Sincerely,
Tom Berger
Principal

Please know that this interest form is helping us determine if we are able to offer these classes. Offerings are based on student interest and our ability to staff the teaching positions. We will email parents before or by June 30th with an update on the class status.
