Welcome Kelsie to our Math Team!
Hi, friends! I am so excited to join the math team! Many of you may have already attended my trainings, usually targeted toward the Pre-K - Grade 2 audience. I know we will continue having amazing learning opportunities together this year. When I am not supporting elementary mathematics and PK-2, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, reading, and riding my Peloton bike. Please feel free to reach out anytime if I can support your classroom or district!

Accelerated Mathematics Proficiency: AMP
Accelerate Mathematics Proficiency (AMP) is a learner-centered approach that builds on a student's existing knowledge and advances them using a learning progression. This two-day, face-to-face session provides a process to provide real-time acceleration for learners who may have unfinished learning.
Day 1 will focus on building a mathematical community of learners and strategies for designing and using formative assessment to make "in the moment" instructional decisions.
Day 2 will continue with the process by analyzing student work and designing extended learning opportunities based on building on the student's conceptual understanding.
The session dates are September 16th and September 29th.

Getting AMPed for Math Success! Administration Support Session
This session is designed for appraisers and curriculum support staff. Participants will explore all parts of the AMP method and how it should "look" when implemented in classrooms. This session will directly link T-TESS dimensions to the corresponding features of the AMP program. This is a hybrid session. Participants can access a Zoom Meeting room if unable to attend in person.
If you can't attend in person, you can join by Zoom.
Click the link to register for the administrator's session at 8:30 am on October 15, 2021.
Building a Mathematical Community
On the R11 Math Now YouTube channel, you will find bite-sized math videos that will help support teachers as they plan and facilitate high-level mathematics instruction. Are you looking for great ways to build a mathematics community and get your students excited about math this year? Check out these routines and give them a try!
