Volunteer Forms
If you plan to volunteer at any time this school year (mystery reader, parties, Field Day, etc.), you must complete the attached form AND watch the attached video. We will have a computer in the office for you to complete a very quick form indicating that you have watched the volunteer safety video when you come in to volunteer. Please have these two items completed prior to arriving at Spencer Loomis to volunteer.
The form does need to be completed each school year - if you filled it out last year, you WILL need to complete the form again this year. Thank you for your assistance!
Resources for Families
There are times when families may need additional financial assistance - such as after a job loss or a death in the family. Through our relationships with generous community partners, District 95 has the ability to cover the costs of a wide range of family needs - including utility bills, groceries, clothing, gas, medical or mental health costs, and more.
Families in need can reach out to a member of the Student Services team (i.e., social worker, school psychologist, counselor) or an administrator at school for additional information. Families may also contact the Student Services Department directly at 847.540.7060 (or by emailing Gaby Mascote, gaby.mascote@lz95.org). We know that there are certain situations that can make it incredibly difficult for families to navigate, and we are here to assist!
Visitor Safety Reminders
As we welcome students, families, and other visitors back to school buildings this school year, we wanted to take a moment to share some important safety reminders:
All visitors must have an appointment in order to enter school district buildings (which includes the Administrative building); our front office staff are happy to help facilitate making an appointment if you need assistance (NOTE: this does not apply to quick drop-offs in the vestibule, such as when a student forgets an item)
All visitors must present a form of identification and go through our visitor screening process for all visits that require entry into the school building; all visitors must also wear a lanyard or visitor badge provided to them for their entire visit. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule - you must present an ID to enter the building.
Visitors are asked not to hold doors open for others when entering or exiting the building during the school day, as these well-intentioned actions are not in alignment with our security protocols
Thank you for your partnership on these items; we look forward to another successful school year where we all work together to maximize feelings of safety within our district buildings!

MAP Scores
Our window for MAP makeup up testing is open. MAP results will not come home until later in September.
Health Information: Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease
As a system, we have been notified of several cases of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) district-wide in the first few weeks of school. While this virus is more common in younger students, it can be transmitted to older students and adults. Families can find more information about symptoms, what to do if you suspect your student has HFMD, and care by clicking HERE.

Stress-Free Fundraiser
We’re kicking off our annual Stress-Free Fundraiser – and we need YOUR support! 💙

We suggest a $25 donation per child—or whatever amount feels comfortable for your family.
🎯 Our Goal: $10,000 🎯
Together, we can reach this goal and continue to fund so many amazing opportunities for our kids!
Your donations help fund:
🎭 The School Musical🍎 Teacher Appreciation events
🎉 Field Day
✏️ Teacher Grants
🛍️ Made by Me Markets
…and so much more for our students and staff!
Together, we can make this school year the best one yet! Thank you for supporting our students, teachers, and community.
✅ We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit – so your donations are tax-deductible.

PTO Events
At Spencer Loomis, we strive to create meaningful and enjoyable events for our students and families. Our success depends on the dedicated volunteers who step forward to chair and organize these events.
To ensure that we have enough time to plan and execute events effectively, we require 1-2+ designated chairs for each event. A final call for chairs will be put out 45 days prior to the event. If no chair is identified 30 days prior to the event, we will need to cancel it.
We understand that this may cause disappointment, but this policy allows us to maintain the high standards we set for our school events while respecting the time and efforts of our volunteers.
Current chair needs for the 25-26 school year are: Trunk or Treat (coming up soon!), Adult's Night Out (2 more), After School Enrichment (1 more) and Donation Liaison. Sign up on PTBoard if you’re interested!
Thanks for your understanding and support!
Trunk or Treat - Final Call
🚨 FINAL CALL! 🚨 We’re still looking for 1-2 chairs to plan & run this year’s Trunk or Treat 🎃👻
Trunk or Treat is currently scheduled for Saturday, October 25th from 2:30-4:30 PM.
Per our event policy, if we do not have a chair identified 30 days (9/12/25) prior to the event we will sadly have to cancel.
Please consider helping out with this fun and festive afternoon! Sign up on PTBoard! 🎃
PTO Website and App
We want to continue to improve our ability to communicate with parents about upcoming events and have all of our information in one easy to access place. We know it can be hard to sift through e-mails, newsletters, and social media posts so wanted to have a spot where parents can find calendars, sign ups, and other information from your phone or computer. Create an account now so you are able to access sign ups as they come out as well as the Buzz Book once it is complete!
