Principal's Message

September was an exciting month at ICIS! Our Book Fair was a great success. The students loved welcoming their grandparents into the building for Grandparent's Night. We are appreciative of the community support that we have here at ICIS.

Looking ahead to October, we are excited to meet for Parent Teacher conferences to discuss the growth and progress of your students. Conferences will be held Wednesday and Thursday of next week (Oct 7th & 8th). Your classroom teacher has sent out a sign up. If you need more information, please contact your classroom teacher.

Today is the first day you can register for our 2nd annual Turkey Trot! This 5K was a huge success last year and a lot of fun! Please consider joining us for a morning of fun and exercise at the link below. A huge shoutout to our EARLY BIRD FINISHLINE Sponsors- Archer Logistics, Trusted Realty, RyKnowsBricks, Hadwell Hardware, SSI Sub-Surface of Indiana, Mutual Savings Bank, First Merchants, Burgett Drone Services, and Nate-n-Kate Real Estate. We appreciate your generosity and support!

The first nine weeks ends this Friday, the 2nd. Report card will be sent home next week. However, you are able to connect to Infinite Campus and see an update of your student's grades at any time.

Transportation Reminder: Students are not allowed to ride home on a bus other than their own. (For example: with their friend).

The Education Foundation is opening up their brick fundraiser today! There is a link below to order. Please see the details below:

  • Brick sales: October 1–December 31, with bricks installed in the spring.
  • Ongoing orders: The order form will remain open after December 31, and we will have an annual brick installation.
  • Cost: $125 per brick, with up to 3 lines of text.
  • Location: Bricks will be placed in the grass/shrub area directly south of the concession stand at the football field.
  • Future expansion: The entire space will eventually be filled with bricks. Blank bricks will initially be used to fill the remaining space and will be replaced with personalized bricks as additional orders are received in future years.

I hope everyone has a safe and restful fall break! School will be out from Oct 12-16th. Class will resume on Monday, Oct 19th. We hope that you will consider signing up for our Turkey Trot 5K or 1 mile Family Run on November 21st! I am grateful for a smooth and positive first nine weeks of school. Thank you for the amazing partnership and family support this community continues to show ICIS.
