PAX at Glacier Ridge
PAX Voice Levels help students understand the appropriate volume for different classroom activities. By teaching students to monitor and adjust their voice, PAX helps create a calm and productive atmosphere where everyone can learn.
PAX Sticks is a kernel of PAX that supports student engagement and increases students' sense of class predictability, procedural fairness, and peer support. PAX sticks can be used as a process for things such as choosing students to answer questions during a lesson, selecting helpers to pass papers out, running an errand, or for selecting the class Granny Wacky Prize.
Panorama Fall Survey
Student wellness is an essential component of educating the whole child. Here at Glacier Ridge Elementary, students in grades 3-5 will take the Panorama survey from Sept. 22- October 3. Please see the parent information letter below. Included in the letter is the parent opt out form if you do not wish your child to take part in this questionnaire.
If you have questions about how this questionnaire helps us meet District goals or the process we use, please contact Dublin City Schools’ Director of Student Wellness, Tyler Wolfe at wolfe_tyler@dublinschools.net
The Washington Township fire department will be visiting GRE kindergarten classrooms next Wednesday morning! Firefighters will go to the KG classrooms and the kindergarten students will also get to go onto the truck. So when you see a firetruck in front of the building, it will be for a fun and educational opportunity. We know they will love it!
Tiger Trot Fundraiser
Information about our Tiger Trot Fundraiser should have come home this week in your child's book bag! The fundraiser will run until the end of September.
A part of our fundraising proceeds will go towards Tiger Conservation efforts with the Columbus Zoo. The Columbus Zoo will be hosting an assembly with animals on October 14 and we will present our contribution at that time.
On Friday, September 19, as part of our fundraising event, all students will participate in the Tiger Trot, which consists of fun and engaging activities that focus on making connections and team building.
Students should bring a water bottle and wear clothing appropriate for the weather that day.
Every contribution makes a difference and helps us continue to create meaningful experiences for our students.
