Chat with FACE

Our Twitter conversation in our Chat with FACE this month discussed the following questions:

1) Should family engagement focus on the student's academics or social-emotional factors?

2) Mention three things/factors that evidence effective family engagement in the schools.

3) How is your campus connecting and showing care about families and their communities?

You can participate in our next Chat with Face #PD2ChatwFACE

Everybody is welcome!

Family and Community University

The Family and Community University continues enrolling more and more families every day! Either in person, virtually, or through pre-recorded sessions, families have a variety of topics of interest. Parents and caregivers who earn 15 credits due to attending 15 sessions are eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony that will be held in May.

With Aldine's Human Resources collaboration, the university has included the Instructional paraprofessional Academy. Hence, parents who seek to work for the district have a better understanding of the instructional paraprofessionals' duties and responsibilities.

The Family and Community University is not only fulfilling the purpose of providing adult education but also a great source of employment opportunities.
