Día de los Muertos Celebrations Across the District
This month, our schools came together to honor Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)—a Mexican tradition that celebrates the lives of loved ones who have passed and the joy of remembrance.
Throughout the district, students and families participated in vibrant events featuring music, dance, and cultural displays. From colorful ofrendas (altars) filled with marigolds and photos to student performances showcasing traditional songs and folklórico dances, each celebration reflected the creativity, respect, and unity of our community.
Thank you to all the students, staff, and families who helped make these events so meaningful.
Our Schools Salute Veterans for Their Service
This week, two of our schools held Veterans Day assemblies to formally honor and express sincere gratitude to the men and women who have served our nation. Students and staff came together to pay tribute to their courage, dedication, and sacrifice.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the veterans who joined us and to the staff and students who helped create thoughtful tributes in recognition of this important day.
