HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK!
MEDSCIENCE TRIP
After learning about the reproductive system in Medical Science class, students took a trip to the ProEMS Patient Simulation Lab where they helped a patient deliver a baby. Students learned how to assess the health of the mother and newborn in an emergency situation.
SCIENCE SPECIAL GUESTS
As part of the high school's partnership with CoLAB, two scientists from Acrivon Therapeutics gave career exploration presentations to Mr. Bridge and Mr. Phillpotts' chemistry classes on Monday, January 8th. In this photo, students engage in a simulation with Mr. Bridge and one of the scientists to determine if a patient is a candidate for a targeted cancer treatment.
ARTS SPECIAL GUEST
On Tuesday, January 9th, our AP Studio Art Class and Ms. Jou welcomed Liz Helfer, Watertown's Director of Public Arts and Culture. Our students voted on prospective Community Sculptures submitted by local artists. The proposed sculptures were included in a presentation with details on the artists' vision and their artist statement. This was a great opportunity for our students to participate in selecting the artwork that will be part of our community in Watertown.

CALL-O-THON!
I am excited to announce the conclusion of our Call-o-Thon! As promised in the beginning of the year, staff members reached out to every WHS family to make a connection, providing the platform for individuals to voice their concerns about the general functioning of the high school. Any comments received from this event are much appreciated and will be critically discussed in length by administrators. More student-specific issues were already directed to guidance counselors for support. As always, you can continue to reach out with any comments, questions, or concerns. Thank you so much for your commitment to WHS!
