DMS Community Newsletter 25/26

Dear Defender Families,

The final week of Wellness Month is here! Students and staff have participated in a variety of engaging activities, and it has been wonderful to see their involvement and enthusiasm throughout the month.

There are just two more weeks before the Progress Report grading period ends. Please encourage your DMS students to ask questions, stay organized, and communicate with their teachers to ensure they are on track academically.

February is Wellness Month at DMS! The Counseling Squad has collaborated with the PE Department & Leadership groups to provide all Defenders with opportunities to increase mental health awareness and general well-being through a variety of fun activities during Advisement & Lunch, plus grade level activities during PE. Please see flyer for details.

Students practice playing their instruments while focusing on proper placement and playing to the stated scale.

Students participated in a variety of activities to gain awareness of mental health strategies during PE.

Students followed steps to set up a document in proper MLA formatting.

Students participated in a Mug Lab. They had their choice of a chocolate mug cake or a snickerdoodle mug cake.

Students playing a Food Web Game to reinforce the content.
