Principal's Message Principal's Message

Dear Families,

I hope this message finds you well as we continue our journey through this joyful season of Easter. This week’s Gospel invites us to reflect on the presence of Christ in our lives, often revealed in quiet, unexpected moments. Just as the disciples came to recognize Jesus not in grand displays, but in simple acts—like the breaking of bread—we are reminded to keep our hearts open to God’s presence in our daily routines, our relationships, and our school community.

In our classrooms and hallways, I see these moments often: in the kindness students show one another, in the dedication of our staff, and in the generosity of our families. These are the small but powerful ways Christ is made visible among us.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the incredible volunteers who made our Spring Dance such a joyful and memorable evening. Your time, energy, and creativity transformed the event into something truly special for our students. From decorations to supervision to all the thoughtful details in between, your efforts did not go unnoticed. Events like this are a beautiful reflection of what makes our school community so strong.

Thank you for your continued support, your faith, and your commitment to making our school a place where every child feels welcomed, valued, and loved.

May God bless you and your families in the week ahead.

Sincerely,

Kristie Phelan
Principal, St Luke

Our Grade 2/3 students have been learning and playing a new and exciting game called Tchoukball in Phys-Ed.

Tchoukball is a fast-paced, non-contact team sport that focuses on teamwork, movement, and respect. Instead of trying to take the ball away from opponents, players work together to pass and shoot the ball at a rebound frame. The goal is to score points by having the ball bounce off the frame and land on the floor without the other team catching it!

Our Grade 2/3 students have quickly embraced the game and are developing important skills such as throwing accuracy, spatial awareness, and teamwork. It’s been great to see their excitement in each class as they learn new strategies, celebrate successful plays, and encourage one another on the court!
