TIGER TIMES
10/5-10/9

NOTE FROM YOUR PRINCIPAL
Dear Titus Family,
This week was full of school spirit and excitement as we celebrated both the Eagles and Phillies with special spirit days! It was great to see so many students and staff showing their team pride throughout the week.
I also had the opportunity to spend time in several classrooms. In Ms. Anderson's class, students were reviewing how to round numbers to the nearest ten and hundred. They were actively engaged in the lesson, and I was impressed by the strong mathematical thinking and reasoning they demonstrated as they explained their answers.
I also visited Mrs. Silver's class, where students were strengthening their vocabulary skills by replacing commonly used words with more meaningful and impactful synonyms. It was great to see students thoughtfully selecting precise language to enhance their writing and communication.
Each classroom visit was a reminder of the hard work, engagement, and learning happening every day at Titus. Keep up the great work, Tigers! I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend!
Your Principal,
Erin Walter

TITUS SCHOOL DAY
START OF THE SCHOOL DAY ...
We are an "A" or early school, and our hours are 8:35 AM to 3:15 PM.
Please be aware that the school day begins at 8:35 AM in your child(ren)'s classroom(s). If you are a car rider in the morning, it is recommended that children are dropped off no later than 8:30 AM in order to get to their classrooms for the start of the school day at 8:35 AM. If a student arrives in their classroom beyond 8:35 AM, they are considered tardy. Parents will need to come into the building to sign their child in if they arrive after 8:35 AM.
The adults supervising the car-rider drop-off line will be on duty until 8:32 AM. Students dropped off after 8:32 AM will more than likely not be able to make it to their classrooms on time for the start of the school day at 8:35 AM. Also, for safety reasons, students arriving to school prior to 8:15 AM, need to be supervised by their parent/caregiver. We ask that all students wait with their family member in the drop off line until 8:15 AM.
Absences and Appointments
Dismissal Change Procedure
End-of-Day Dismissal Change Procedure:
If your student must go home a different way than usual, please follow these steps to ensure your student dismisses the correct way:
✅Email your student’s teacher and copy the entire office staff, stating your student’s name and the end-of-day dismissal change:
- [teacher's email]@cbsd.org
✅If a student is going home with another family, the parents of both families must email or call the office, providing consent.
✅Copying the entire office staff assures the dismissal change is included in end-of-day dismissal announcements and is a backup if the teacher or any office staff are absent.
✅Please submit changes as early as possible. Changes cannot be accepted after 2:50PM.
Important Information from School Health Office
VOLUNTEERS
DON'T FORGET CLEARANCES....
Titus requires all potential volunteers to complete their paperwork for clearances prior to assuming any volunteer/chaperone role within the school. This will ensure we are in line with district and state expectations.
Who Needs Clearances: An individual who is responsible for the child's welfare or has direct contact with children. Pennsylvania law requires all persons having direct contact with school children to obtain background checks and clearances. In the best interest of the safety and security of our students, Central Bucks School District requires the submission of these clearances prior to volunteering during the school year. Each volunteer must create an individual Raptor account, and all required clearances must be submitted with your application. Approved volunteers must check in at the office with photo ID, such as a driver's license, when volunteering.
Additional information and steps on how to complete your clearances and to register to be a volunteer can be found on our district website.
