2026 Important Incoming Athlete Information
Information for incoming student-athletes
Thank you for your interest in the Workman Athletic Program. We are looking forward to meeting you! To be placed in the athletic class, you must take care of several items by the posted deadline. Please make sure you join the SportsYou found at the bottom of this page. This will be where all of the communication takes place this school year.
Participation:
Participation in the Athletic Program in AISD is a privilege, not a right, and as such, the students will be held to a higher standard than that of the general population. Therefore, the rules and guidelines that are set in place by the Workman Coaches will be stricter than those delineated in the Student Code of Conduct and those of the school. We are excited to have you in our Athletic Program. Please understand that this is a serious commitment that will require your best every day.
Requirements for Athletes entering Workman
You must have an AISD participation packet on file: Preparticipation Packet – Online Forms.
The participation packet can ONLY be completed online. You MUST participate in sports in order to be in the athletic class.
You must have a physical completed by a doctor.
PHYSICALS – Due by August 28, 2026
If you have a completed electronic physical to turn in, please email davevion.lockett@arlingtonisd.org.
It is MANDATORY that your physical be completed and turned in by this deadline to keep your child in athletics.
