SVHS End of Year Information

The following is the schedule for the remainder of the school year:

Monday, May 23: Algebra Keystone Exams - anyone taking the Algebra Keystone will begin testing at 7:30 am. All other students will be operating on a 2-hr delay schedule (regular transportation).

Tuesday, May 24: Algebra Keystone Exams - anyone taking the Algebra Keystone will begin testing at 7:30 am. All other students will be operating on a 2-hr delay schedule (regular transportation). This is the final day at BAVTS for Seniors who attend BAVTS.

Wednesday, May 25: Regular Schedule for Students in Grades 9-11. Senior Final Exams (see below for more information).

Thursday, May 26: Regular Schedule for Students in Grades 9-11. Senior Final Exams (see below for more information).

Friday, May 27: Regular Schedule for Students in Grades 9-11. Senior grades are stored.

Monday, May 30: Happy Memorial Day! (School is closed)

Tuesday, May 31: Regular Schedule for Students in Grades 9-11. This is the final day at BAVTS for students in Grades 10-11 who attend BAVTS. Senior Item Return and Cap & Gown Pick-up in SVHS Bus Loop from 8-11 am (Mandatory).

Wednesday, June 1: Grades 9-11 Block 1 & 2 Final Exams (Modified schedule - see below). Senior Graduation Expectations, Campus Parade and Graduation Ceremony Ticket Pick-up 8-11 am - meet at 8 am in the SVHS Auditorium (Mandatory).

Thursday, June 2: Grades 9-11 Block 4 & 5 Final Exams (Modified schedule - see below). Senior Graduation Practice - meet in the SVHS Gymnasium at 8 am. Practice will conclude no later than noon (Mandatory).

Friday, June 3: Grades 9-11 Block 3 Final Exam and Make-ups (Modified schedule - see below). Seniors - GRADUATION at 6:30 pm (Student arrival at 5:30 pm in the SVHS Gymnasium).

Wednesday, June 8: Report Card Portal opens.

Senior Final Exams will occur May 25 and May 26. Seniors should check with their teacher for each of their courses to see if they need to take a final and when the final will be scheduled on May 25 or 26. Students who do not need to take a final exam on either day are not required to report to school.

Grades 9-11 Final Exams will occur using the following schedule:

June 1 (Wednesday):

Block 1: 7:30-9:00 am

Block 2: 9:15-10:45 am

June 2 (Thursday):

Block 4: 7:30-9:00 am

Block 5: 9:15-10:45 am

June 3 (Friday):

Block 3: 7:30-9:00 am

Make-Ups: 9:15-10:45 am

Please note that regular transportation will occur on June 1 and June 2. If a parent wishes to excuse their child following a final exam, and will be providing transportation at the conclusion of their final exam, they MUST complete the following form for their child:

If a form is not completed, the student will receive a study hall until 2:25 pm when bus transportation will be provided. Lunch will be provided to any student who remains on June 1-2. On June 3, all students will be dismissed at 10:45.

The final day at BAVTS for Seniors who attend BAVTS will be May 24 (Tuesday).

The final day at BAVTS for students in Grades 10-11 who attend BAVTS will be May 31 (Tuesday).

We are very excited to give our students an opportunity to enjoy reading during the summer break! Parents/guardians, please sign and date the attached form and send it back to school with your student, or email it to Ms. Sams at amber.sams@svpanthers.org. When the signed agreement is received, the student can borrow books. They will be due back the Tuesday after Labor Day. The countdown is over! On April 30th, the Environmental club held its Tree Planting event! 550 trees were ordered by residents who either had them delivered and planted at their house (by our wonderful volunteers) or came to pick them up at the school. This surpassed our goal of 440 that is meant to offset the paper usage of the district. Special thanks to the members of the club who worked on the planning of this event all year and helped run the event on April 30th: Russ Frey, Kaitlyn Pequeno, Caitlyn Keeney, Ella Frey, Adrianna Pretopapa and Maddie Garcia. Because of their hard work, the event was a huge success!

We were pleased to bring back SVHS's Junior ~ Senior Prom this year. Over 300 students celebrated their prom at Lehigh University's Iacocca Event Center on May 6. A special thank you to Mr. Jeremy Kittek, Junior Class Advisor, for all of his hard work in ensuring a successful event! Congratulations to Ava Albano, Prom Queen, and Nicholas Brogle, Prom King! We will send an upcoming Spotlight Newsletter highlighting the event. Stay tuned!

Mrs. Kern and Mrs. Picketts, SVSD English Language Development (ELD) teachers, hosted a community picnic for students, and their family members to celebrate the end of the 2021-2022 school year on Wednesday, May 18 at Dimmick Park. Over one hundred people attended the event! Lots of fun was had by all!

On Thursday, May 19, SVHS's Music Department presented their 2022 Spring Concert. Mr. Miller conducted both the SVHS Chamber Choir and the SVHS Chorus. This was followed by performances by the SVHS Band conducted by Mr. Marini. Congratulations to all who participated in creating an outstanding Spring Concert!

Seniors participated in a Senior Send-Off on Friday, May 20 during Block 4. Thank you to Mrs. Chisesi, Mrs. Roberts and SGA for planning the event!

On Friday, May 20, Seniors enjoyed their class trip to Dorney Park. Although it rained, the trip was memorable for all who participated!
