Dear AG Families:

It is our pleasure to welcome back new and returning families to a great year at Victory Christian Academy! We are excited that you are a part of our amazing learning community where parents, ag teachers, and students work together to build our team. We welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to excellence in our Ag Department, and we look forward to working with you and your children. Mrs. Pinkerton & Mrs. Rainey have been planning and preparing for your child(ren) all summer. We are looking forward to this school year with anticipation and excitement.

Because a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child(ren)’s education, we want you to be involved in ag, volunteer when available, and communicate with your child’s ag teacher as needed with any questions, concerns, or celebrations! We will be assembling dog toys for a local animal shelter. Students that show up to help will receive community service hours.

If you want to get plugged into other clubs such as the dog, horse, or photography this event is for you!

Braelyn & Rilynn had a great show yesterday at the North Texas Fair and Rodeo in Denton.

Braelyn took 3rd place in Intermediate Showmanship and her Old English Game Bantam Cock took Best of Variety, Best of Breed, and Class Champion for Game Bantams.

Rilynn Showalter, who’s in VCA kindergarten, took 1st place in PeeWee Showmanship and earned her first buckle! Her Black Bearded Silkie took Best of Variety at the show.

Cody Barnett was asked to work goats for embryo transfer and he was all for it. He brought his buddy Colten Byrd with him as well. They had a great time and it was an awesome learning experience. This outfit performed 70 embryo transfers and flushed 8 goats. Ag kids are pretty cool if you ask us ag teachers!
